They look cute. It's nice to see the Arora powders trending again. You did a great job. I have been doing nails for 26 years, I just love seeing people learning how to do them on their own, and doing them well. Just wanted to tell you that you don't have to file the shine off the top of the tips. Just underneath for an proper adhesion, that's just adding on to what you have to do. You can just use rubbing alcohol with gel for clean up, better to do it before than after it cures. I would also recommend that you hold your e-file at a flatter angle, not like a pencil as it can cause the bit to cut your nail bed and cause rings of fire. You did so good. They look like you had them done professionally. Young Nails had a bunch of "gel" tips tested, including gel x and they weren't gel, just regular plastic. So if some of y'all can't afford gel x, you can find a more affordable system.

I love doing my own nails has saved me sooooo much money and I use a lot of the same stuff started out cheap and small upgraded over time yeah love it!

Just a tip/hack. You can use a primer inside the nail tip and it will stick. You don't have to file the inside of it. This is what I do. I haven't buffed the inside of my nails anymore and haven't for 3 years now and it's so easy and lasts 2-3+ weeks.

Hi Sylvia! I have a tip from my own experience, after curing at the small lamp do a 60s cure at full size because it can be uncured gel that can harm you❤️❤️

they came out SO cute! ✨ just one tip: the sanding band that you are using might be too harsh on your natural nails. you need to use a more fine sanding band. besides that, they look amazing!!

When I file the tops of my nails I used to use the drill but I hated the smell so I use those big thick rectangle buffers and they are a lot faster than the drill

hey girl, something that might help speed the process is to just apply primer to the bottom of the aprés nail so you don’t have to edge the nails with the drill… the primer is doing the same thing that edging the nail would do. you also don’t have to put any dehydrator to the aprés nails since the nail doesn’t have any oils and the primer will do the job. also since you’re not applying the gel polish directly to your nail there’s no need to put any base coat before 😊

I just learned this in the salon from one of the girls if your sizing tips if u size one hand don’t use the sizes for the same fingers on the other hand as one hand is different for example the rhumb on left might be a tade wider or longer then the other thumb be careful with the drill on your natural nail

How does it not rip off your nail bed when taking the nails off??? I do my nails at home too but whenever I take them off I always end up ripping my natural nail underneath. Whenever I have to cure something with the light, it burns and I have to keep removing my hand and placing it back removing and placing back. Anyone have tips that may help?

the burning part, make sure u put a thin layer of the extend gel on your nail and cure it for 30 sec and then u apply the nail that helps to not burn your nail , the ripping off part yes girl i feel you to my nails were ripping off to js keep it soaked in acetone a little longer it should take off like butter and easy hope this helps

One tip is to buff the nails after you put them on. So no oils go on the nails and the gel sticks better and you can buff the sides to make them look more natural gels

I do my nails on my own too just how you do them but I’ve been trying to do the nail foil and it doesn’t come out good it gets messed up. Can you do a video with nail foil ? And what glue you use ? My nails come off quick and it sucks cause I will be buying nail glue off Amazon and get it from nail shops and target and nothing working for me!

You’re supposed to cure the builder gel on your own nails first and then do each nail extension. No reason to put the dehydrator on the nail extension. They have a acid primer that you can use to avoid filling on the nail extension. I flash cure then a full cure for 60 seconds for each hand. You don’t have to put on a base coat before polishing your nails. They are gel extensions and ready for polish once you buff them. Nails turned out beautifully with your method. Definitely going to give it a go myself. Thanks for sharing.

Hiii love this video i’ve watched it so many times before when i started gel x and a tip for you for if you ever do chrome before you apply the chrome try using a no wipe top coat then apply the chrome and you won’t have to worry about wiping of the sticky layer then top it with a top coat like normal and your good to go but these nails look amazing
