Thanks coach. Happy to know stairs sprints have the same effect. Gonna focus more on this.

Great video as always coach.But how can we incorporate these to our roadwork,combined to our long distance running?Thank you in advance!
@GTE_Channel2 жыл бұрын
My advice would be not to do them on the same day. Sprinting once per week is more than adequate

Happy to help! Distance running is appropriate early in a training phase, but should progressively shift to higher intensity methods to build improved performance. The reality is you only need 3 targeted cardio endurance sessions each week in addition to your Muay Thai training to build elite fitness. Great work like always, and just in time, I was thinking how to use the hill next to my house for training, that will be great.

A hill next to house! Awesome! It’ll be good to put it to use. 👍

Very informative! What about doing sprints holding weights like a sandbag on the shoulders does that increase the intensity and the effectiveness? It definitely feels harder when I do it

Yes, carrying load makes for High Resistance Intervals too. However, be careful not to overdo it, as that will increase the impact throughout the body - be especially careful with the calves and Achilles tendons. I prefer sled pushes or drags instead, as that overloads the movement but doesn’t increase impact.

Great video as usual...can these sprints be done on the heavy bag punching or kicking?
@heatrick2 жыл бұрын
Cheers! 🙏 I’m afraid you’re not overcoming enough resistance when punching or kicking a heavy bag for High Resistance Intervals.

Wow, I love the deadmill idea. I would do 45 sec sprints and 2 incline, but the deadmills seem like you have to work harder.
@heatrick6 ай бұрын
Yes! You’ll work much harder! These higher intensity intervals work well with 6-12 seconds max intensity effort against high resistance… then 60-90 seconds rest or until heart rate drops to 130-140 bpm, repeated for between 8-20 reps.
