Great session Will. We have a lot of bad weather on the coast here! So this is really useful. Although your bad weather scene was very stunning, loved the sea mist and light.. thank you for sharing.

Photographing a rugby game today (on the Rugby Europe channel), and after watching this decided, I'll sneak in a few of these as well. Not sure the players will be happy...but perhaps they will!

Haha awesome mate! Might be a few bangers in there if you’re lucky.

@@WilliamPatinoPhotography I chickened out!!! It was a crazy game right until the end (upset win) and I got lucky and was near both the winning score and then a really nice final defense and a great celebration. I was scared to touch any of the settings on my cameras!!! Oh well, I will wait for blow-out like game and play.

Great video, thanks for the tips. We're heading over in June next year, Milford and the West Coast on on our list of places to visit. Is the beach you are at on the West Coast? Keep the videos coming.

Legend. Thanks a lot mate! You have the perfect back drop there for this type of stuff, especially with the lack of sea stack subject matter around the shire.

Great tips about bad weather photography. I always used to think the sky had to be blue for a pretty photo, but I took some nice photos of Lake Tekapo with cloud in the sky. Although it helps that Lake Tekapo's turquoise colour is due to silt rather than blue sky reflection.
@WilliamPatinoPhotography2 жыл бұрын
I generally avoid clear blue skies as much as possible :)

When your panning did you shoot single shot or continues Hi+ in Sony A7r3.
@WilliamPatinoPhotography2 жыл бұрын
Usually single but you could for sure use continuous. I just don’t like going home with that many files haha.
@robmcd2 жыл бұрын
Which IS mode are you using? All purpose or panning?
@WilliamPatinoPhotography2 жыл бұрын
Doesn’t really matter because we’re not trying to get a sharp image. I just leave it on standard.
@leannecullen83172 жыл бұрын
Great video. Some of my favourite photos have been from what you taught me using these techniques.

@EKowallis2 жыл бұрын
Are you using a stabilized lens and camera or will any camera work?
@WilliamPatinoPhotography2 жыл бұрын
Any setup will work here because we're not concerned about getting a 'sharp' image :) As long as you have manual mode you are good to go. No tripod needed either.

Love your videos, but you need to smile a just little more. The down-turned mouth makes you look worried rather than keen.
