Whenever i do this i feel a pop in my thigh or hip. any way to fix that? Like it doesn't hurt when i do it but sometimes it does too...

Be sure to warm up and stretch first. You may need to spend more time on flexibility. Go slowly daily and don't force too much to avoid injury.
