Hello, I run a VR center / arcade and decided to finally figure out how to use LIV now that we're temporarily shutdown. I've searched through several videos and this proved the most comprehensive and well put together; very thorough, easy to follow, and time efficient. Thanks to you video I've made rapid progress. @UC5nYxYEEJQ0uDsCSM4VIX5A I can’t speak to if it is the best, but it is still relevant. I found it lead me straight through the process. This video doesn’t cover everything, but it covers the basics to get up and running perfectly. I also avoid older videos if I can, but I watch a fair amount of Nasay’s content, so I was confident I was getting good information.

I Havnt even finished, and im subscribed. I dont even own VR, and im hooked. (3 pages ive written down of instructions). I HONESTLY dont think, in ANY field of ANYTHING (including my Music Studio) ive EVER witnessed such PERFECT explanations, and information. I really can not explain just how GREAT and wonderful you are. I know i sound weird offering praise like this (us Aussies arnt really inclined to Praise, and well as a Man, it wasnt what i was raised to do.) BUT, it has to be said....At least by me. YOU, are the GREATEST KZbin "Teacher?" i dont know what they call you guys? BUT for me, you taught me, and i didnt feel like you were PAID to do so? Make sense? Anyway..this comment will get lost, UNTIL...GOD wants YOU to hear it!

Thank you SO MUCH for making this video. I have been searching for a good guide to mix reality and there really isn't anything out there that explains everything step by step and presents it in such a comprehensive way as you have done here. I think you hit all the Mark's and even touched on options most people would not think of. I have been following your posts as a guide to find new custom songs to download and I wanted to reach out to you and ask you what guides you followed to do your setup when you posted this guide.... really well done. The video editing with screen capture and multiple angles was amazing... the dogs were brilliant. At present I don't have the proper computer, space, LINK for my Quest, or the green screen stuff but my goal is to have a setup done by summer so that I can share my experiences with friends online.. when I do I will make sure to send you a link with a big thank you AGAIN! WELL DONE! YOU ROCK!

Wow - that was exactly what I needed!. You gave me the idea of the flooring so I just ordered some green mats. And if that doesn't do it, one could simply paint a big board or something to lay down. Also the mask thing was great seeing. I really struggle with cropping too much out, so that was a good thing to know :-). Thanks for this guide - it was awesome!

For those in smaller spaces or living with someone who doesn't want a green room: You can use a Kinect instead. LIV supports those old 3D cameras that used to come with Xboxes natively, and will use it to generate a virtual green screen, cutting you out of the room. While it doesn't look as real green screen, it will let you have the fun of mixed reality with the unobtrusive footprint of a Kinect on the wall of your normal room, rather than a dedicated jello corner. Plus it adds a cool extra layer of mystery: letting people play VR only to turn on the TV to reveal themselves in the game feels like you own a Holodeck. It also works with the new Azure Kinect which outputs high quality, but they coat a couple hundred US dollars. Again, for some that'll be preferable or more feasible than painting their rented flat 😂

Thanks for making this guide - I think a lot of people have been looking for something as clear and informative as this - fantastic work. I'm also in AU and was looking at the link to the green floor mats, and Amazon says they don't ship to my area - I might be able to get around that, but wanted to check if you got the 'green' or 'lime green' ones. I think it's 'green' looking at the preview on Amazon - that looks closest to the green screen colour anyway :D Thanks in advance and keep up the great work!!
