Sometimes we do things not knowing who we will inspire. I started going to barber school couple months ago with out any knowledge on how to do a cut or hold a clipper. Kevin Ramos hey brother! From the fades I've cut, the sides and back will be the same length. I like to start out literally with the zero length and work my way up about 1/4 to 1/2 inch at a time. Hope that helps!

Kevin Ramos Haha it's cool man. If they know what they're doing, all they'll ask you is what kind of fade you want. Otherwise they'll probably give you a Caesar fade or Princeton fade. The only difference between the two is where cutting the hairline starts. The Caesar cuts off at the occipital bone while the Princeton starts where your hair naturally grows. There are many different kinds of fades. Hope that helps
