Great job, as always, Delonda! I am starting to fall in love with screen printing. It really is the OG for decorating t-shirts. It also usually winds up feeling better than vinyl after it is cured. The next screen printing project I am doing is decorating 2 toddler shirts. I have read that it is considered to be a safer option for little kids because the speedball ink is water based and it won't peel up like vinyl could potentially peel up.
@CraftingwithDelonda3 ай бұрын
Oh wow! I didn't even think about how much safer it would be for kids! Thanks for sharing that.

I really enjoy screen printing. I make my auto body paint shop shirts using screen printing. One way to help with adhering the vinyl that I do is place a book or wood piece the same thickness of the frame so when I burnish it the screen cannot dip up and down from pressure. It helps me. I also use my swing away heat press to hover and dry the print. I also have made a few ‘permanent’ screens by using HTV and pressing it to the screen then I can reuse it several times and remove it from the frame to change out to another design. That is real cool too. Loved the video❤

Hi, Ms. Delonda. I finally found your newest video LOl. I have bought DTF with a company that I got from Amazon but it's been tough on which temps to work with, it's crazy how it's not what the packages sometimes state. Anyhow, it also depends on our machines. I wanted to share this with everyone as well, I tried hacks too but what worked for me was to attatch 2 of the DTF sheets with 1 small clear piece of tape at bottom and it worked with some regular printing paper behind it. I am so Excited! because the hack I used was so different than other but it worked so if anyone needs info. do it this way maybe it will help you and less work. Thank God! 🙂 So, Excited to see your new video. Sincerely Ms. Thompson

I usually lay the screen down on top of the vinyl once i have the transfer tape off. Take my hand, rub it really well. Also, turn the screen over and make sure that the vinyl is down really well. Then tape it down just like you did.

I already have the speedball screen printing kit in my amazon cart for me to purchase soon. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. Stay Blessed and can't wait to see ur next project

Hello, I enjoy watching your videos they are very informative. I’ve found when doing screen printing when you use transfer tape if you press a new piece of transfer tape to your shirt or a tea towel first to get a little lint on it it releases better and the vinyl sticks to the screen better.

I really liked this video I have been wondering about screen printing . My son Victor chews his collars of his shirts so I need to replace his shirts a lot , he does not like the feel of vinyl so i got stuff for sublimation ( Thank you for those videos) rest of the family loves the glitter backing, Victor does not like the feel of the stiff vinyl and white is just not his color. He's really autistic , it's important to me that he dresses cute, this looks like it could work, and I could make multiple shirts, with just a template.
@CraftingwithDelondaАй бұрын
I sure hope it helps and you are able to make a few shirts with one template.

Love that dose it feel like vinyl after it is done
@CraftingwithDelonda3 ай бұрын
Thank you ❤️ Nope. It is much lighter than vinyl and it lasts longer.
@annperz41323 ай бұрын
I have been using it because it does seem to last longer than the vinyl. I was finding that i was wearing the vinyl shirts so much that the vinyl was comming off. And screen printing seems to last a lot longer.

I am still having problems with silhouette Studios just closing out on me in the middle of a project has anyone had this problem it closes out and leaves a black rectangle on my screen and I have to close it out and restart my laptop

It might be taking up too much storage on your computer. Try closing everything else out while you are using it.

How long does it take for the ink to dry before pressing?
@CraftingwithDelonda3 ай бұрын
I had each shirt under the heat press for approximately 10-15 minutes; but you could bypass that by using a heat gun.
