Subscribed. I just swapped an LS1 into my 67 C10, bodywork is next. 1 suggestion-ditch the fiberglass and get some Rage filler. You’ll thank me when you spend 1/8 of the time sanding and shaping.

I buy sheet metal from the metal supplier. They have fall off pieces they sell by weight. I rarely need a full sheet so random sheet sizes are worth the savings.

For sure, great deals! I found a place called Metal Supermarkets a couple of months ago that sells their scraps. I walked away with $400 worth of square tubing for $160. Just need to find the time to make some stands for some of my Eastwood metal fab tools. Thanks for watching!

@BustedClassicGarage they have a location in my area. They're the most expensive supplier we have in the area though. I only use them for odd sizes I can't find.

So glad you are back on the c10! I’m in the middle of replacing the inner cowl on mine as well (along with all the other usual suspects). The repop panel doesn’t fit great with the curvature along the dash/windshield seam so planning to leave the dash in at least until I get the fitment correct. Thank you for the great content and motivation!

What do people usually put over flooring on these typa build?

Once all of the metal work is done I'm going to lay down epoxy. For a factory style restoration, there was a insulation pad for the firewall and pieces of sound deadening roofing shingle like mats. I will be putting a dynamat down or something comparable over the floor and firewall.

Thanks! Drag Week 2022 is the plan for this year. I plan on stuffing the 400 sbc back in.
