How to do the FASTEST FLIP in Rocket League | Speed Flip Tutorial. It is finally time that I made a speed flip tutorial video. There are many great rocket league speedflip tutorial videos on the internet, Helical, the Musty kickoff one, but you guys have been asking me to make a rocket leauge speed flip tutorial. So here it is. A short little how to speed flip tutorial for those of you who have been struggling. Now I do just want to say that the information in this rocket league speed flip tutorial video will be the same as the information you find in every other rocket league speed flip tutorial, but I tried to make mine as simple and short as possible. As to the point as I could make it. My rocket league tips and rocket league tutorial videos in the past have tended to drag on a tiny bit from time to time, and so today with the rocket league speed flip tutorial, I decided to change it up and just go with a short little tips video. Hope you enjoy!
You can use the speed flip for just moving around the field, but can also use the speed flip as the speed flip kickoff. So as well as this being a whole speed flip tutorial, you can use the same information to train your speed flip kickoffs! 2 for 1 deal on this video!

Do you just forget about those and roll in the air with air roll + left joystick? Right now I can just cancel flip and that's it, I have no idea how to get back on my wheels and keep rolling...

Hey you know how there’s a controller on the screen? If I don’t mention air roll left or air roll right then chances are I’m not using them, but you can also see exactly what buttons I’m pressing and when If you look at the controller, and if you don’t know my button layout, all it takes is going to the description and finding the video there so you can see what each button does instead of me having to say what every button does every single video.

Some tips I learned from failing this for a long time: - Make sure your cancel (pulling down) is very "clean" and not too much to the side and fast enough - I like to "move my stick to do the very straight diagonal > THEN press jump twice > then cancel" instead of "jump > stick to do a diagonal > jump again > cancel" - It makes my speedflip a LOT more consistent. I do hold drift just before starting this motion, as otherwise this would make you loose a tiny bit of speed. Everything else was said in the video. I've struggled a lot with the speedflip - maybe this will help someone.

I started learning the speedflip when I was silver 2. It took me about 6 months to learn and when I finally was able to do it consitantly I was diamond 1, but I'm glad that I learned it because it is the most usefull mechanic for boost managment.

EVERYONE: This is the way most people have learned the speedflip, but for a lot of new learners it’s very hard to get down. Recently I think I found a new way to speedflip and I’m not sure why not everyone does it. the problem most people have at first is not getting a perfect cancel, but instead of doing a diagonal cancel, the new method does a front flip cancel. The way this works is you have a bind for either air roll left or right. you have to be holding this from start to finish. unlike the other method, you can’t hold this right after flipping, but rather it’s better to hold it even before jumping, while holding air roll right or left, do a simple front flip cancel and boom, speedflip. my friend has been trying to master the old technique for over a month and still can’t do it consistently. However, I showed him this method today and he genuinely did it first try and does all of his kickoffs this way now. you still need to be able to front flip cancel, but it’s extremely easy. in case my explanation didn’t make sense, there is only 2 components: 1. hold air roll right or left (your choice) from start to finish 2. Front flip cancel Enjoy!

Set the speed to .25 and watch when exactly he starts holding down air roll (L1/LB) and what exactly he is doing with the left stick. In all the videos I've watched, people tell you to hold the stick down while keeping air roll pressed, but what they are doing in fact is slowly moving the left stick from bottom-right to bottom-left. This being said, I only started training this flip now, but this is something I've realized is being done but never pointed out clearly

I had the same problem. The reason you are doing that is because you are flipping too much in the forward direction. Make your flip a little more diagonal. In other words make it closer to a side flip than what you are doing now. When they say “do a slight diagonal flip” it’s not as slight as you might think. Try going a little more sideways with your joystick and a little less up

Just a tip for people trying this. I've found that getting as clean of a landing following the flip tends to make it just a bit faster (having air roll and powerslide bound to the same button is super helpful). Also, you have to boost a little bit before flipping, and learning the timing of that just takes practice and muscle memory.

First, I have ADD so it’s quite possible I tuned out and missed it but I don’t think you mentioned that once you pull straight down on the joystick you can help your car rotate by keeping the joystick down and rotating it slightly left or right depending on direction of quick flip/air roll. I just noticed it in the video and WOW that’s helping a ton. Nobody mentions that!! Just make sure you rotate it *slightly* in the direction of the flip. If you go 90 degrees your not will be raised in the air too much

I’ve been trying to learn for a few months. Watched countless tutorials multiple times. I would go into free play, try 50-100 times, get discouraged, then queue into drop shot 😂 I’ve practiced the training pack for FIVE minutes and am already infinitely more consistent. One thing that helped me was looking at the ball and not my car. It was strange trying to line up a hit where I wasn’t exactly straight on (like most other ground hits) Track the non-moving ball while you veer right, (assuming you’re doing a left side speed flip) and as you are about 15 degrees (non-coincidentally haha!) to the right, do your speed flip watching the ball the whole way. Sounds so silly to explain but that’s what helped me conceptually.

Great tutorial! I've almost got it, in the tutorial I can score on everything but the last one with some (Gold II anyway) consistency. My biggest problem is shown by the last shot in the tutorial: when my flip isn't wobbly off the y axis I'm going off to the right or left, but when I go straight I'm wobbling and the spin isn't pretty. Still fast, but does anyone have any tips for greater accuracy while not wobbling during the flip? Thanks!

I think I just got it right. What helped me find out how exactly to do it was to drive around in free training with constant boost and then just try around with different timings. If you do a diagonal spin and the boost keeps pointing to the camera (more or less) then you did it right (I think lol). I found that to be easier than trying kickoffs. Now I just have to learn to aim it exactly towards the ball and become consistent, then I can try using it in quickplay

No one actually brings up a controller overlay or describes the movements/knowledge required to do this flip, they expect us to just know it from watching them do it repeatedly, unlike this video, good work 👍
