For more advanced magicians like myself I cull the breather under the card so it gives the a chance to put it anywhere. I actually only used to do this but now I do a very similar routine called the tiny plunger. I highly recommend buying it, and it comes with a great instructional video

My favorite version of this trick is the David Blaine version, where the SPECTATOR flicks the cards and cuts to their card! Exact same principle as this (it just isn’t 100% accurate every time, but it’s worth a go!)

Great way to reveal a chosen card. But I must mention at the beginning of your tutorial, you did explain the working of the breather crimp wrongly, It’s not the air pocket at the top of the card that makes it work. Having said that the rest of the tutorial was great especially the idea of bevelling the deck slightly. 👍😊👍
