The Road Agent's Spin is a gunfighter's trick from the Old West popularized by the Clint Eastwood movie The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976). It's easy to learn and a fun party trick, if you go to the sorts of parties where people bring pistols.

One issue that needs to be brought up: If you're a person with shorter fingers, you can't really loop the finger around and into the trigger well, so you have to let the gun flip onto your index finger before you can spin it around, instead of starting with your finger in the trigger well. longer fingers make this trick easier..it's doable with shorter, stubbier fingers, but it's not as easy as when you have longer fingers that can loop into the trigger well from the start.

@prairiebhoy9199 4 жыл бұрын
I have an Uberti Walker..it weighs over 4.5 lbs. Eastwood used Colt Dragoons as well. Plenty big but a bit lighter. The issue is the length too. A Colt 1860 Army is plenty lighter and shorter. The 1873 SAA was designed off the 1860 retrofit
@BogeyTheBear
@BogeyTheBear 3 жыл бұрын
@@prairiebhoy9199 The 1860 is lighter than a Dragoon, but it is not shorter. The barrel on the 1860 was lengthened to compensate for the shorter frame and cylinder so they come out more or less equal. Kinda makes it easier finding a holster long enough to fit either gun.

Are you left-handed or ambidextrous? I notice you wear your hogleg in a right-handed crossdraw holster, but you have the left-handed dexterity of either a natural-born southpaw or someone who's put forth the effort to become ambidextrous or mix-handed. Arnie trained to handle weapons and shoot ambidextrously for 'The Terminator'. *Edit/Note:* If it took more than one shot, you weren't using a Jakobs. 0:58 Super easy! Barely an inconvenience!

I just want to point out one of the reasons this is even safe at all with a revolver is because until the hammer is pulled back the trigger tension is extremely strong and so you're unlikely pull the trigger accidentally
@bushwhackedonvhs
@bushwhackedonvhs 2 жыл бұрын
No, that is not why. This trick was and is done with single action revolvers, meaning ones which can only fire when the hammer is rearward because the trigger performs the single action of engaging the sear. The trigger is dead until the hammer is cocked. You're thinking in terms of DA revolvers and their heavy triggers but spinning actually doesn't work well with DA revolvers because you have less space in the trigger guard and the balance is different as well on most double actions.
