I love this video! I have a resident at the nursing home I work for who never gets her hair done "properly" because our staff doesn't know how or is to lazy to take the time to do her hair so her elderly sister isn't struggling to make it look nice (she does a great job but anyone can tell itd be a cleaner style if she were younger and could stand up long enough to do it in one sitting) I have been wanting to learn to style her hair to help her sister out and to help it grow out since she had a haircut given without permission (her sister noticed it٫ still don't know who did it without knowing how but they almost ruined her beautiful hair doing this) hopefully I will get the chance to do this style on her before I move to a new nursing home٫ thank you for all you do to educate people٫ its very much appreciated 💙

Any tips for mixed kids hair?? I have one kid with very tight small curls that are shiny and soft, and another with coarse wavy extremely dry hair. The one with curls wants his hair long, but i need some ideas like this, but, how do i get them to STAY, because it just unwraps very qyick after spending so much time doing it.
@Slimm_Sheedah13 жыл бұрын
I would try different gels, some a better for 4b 4 c hair and some make them frizzy. For mixed I would just test out a few
@sjackson59802 жыл бұрын
I use the Xtreme gel on my son's. His hair is kind of dry but has a more curly/ringlets texture when he gets out the shower before it dries so when I do his twist his hair is damp when I start them. But cause he's not a C the coils last for weeks, but towards the scalp/root it starts to get more of a deadlock look cause it loosens & can get matted. With my C kid I use Cantu twisting gel/cream on his cause I do the 2 strand twists then separate them the next day. His hair is coarse, dry, kinky, tight curls on 75% of his head & it's like 5 inches long when combed out. They're mixed, black & Hispanic.

From someone who used to have long hair like Jesus, a guy on this search said “you should have real loc hair before you try to loc your hair”. What that means is you should be growing your hair out and learning the techniques to keep your original hair, then try to use the broken broke down hair to try to sharpen that up. I have been growing since a child, and had long hair as a baby. Cut it off, at 30 i started growing it back out. I have my original hairline back, my original hair, and my hair is starting to get length but I’m realizing it was better to treat it and condition it because now I can literally strand my hair out on my own. My point is, use what you have but always repair the broken hair that you have when getting real dreads/twisties..
