The base dip powder is a natural color. I read that something is different about it that helps build the structure of the nail. This is the only reason I started using it because I used to just use color on all layers. It helps when you want to just fill your nails too so you know when you’re getting close to your natural nail.

I have the Lavender Violet dip system but I just ordered the kiara sky system. I do think it’s a BIT on the expensive end as far as dip systems go. But cheaper is not always a good idea. I’ve tried that...lol I do love the lavender Violet brand though! My friend keeps borrowing it so I figured I’d buy the kiara sky to have another set of dips available 😂

I always have issues with lifting even though I’m prepping the nail really good. Could it be cause I’m not being as careful with the bond and end up with the acrylic on my finger (to then later file off)? Hope that makes sense.

Catlyn Cody I had the same issue and it was two things I fixed and no longer had that issue. 1 is what you mentioned if you get too close to your cuticle it will lift. #2 is gluing the nail tip too far down. The glue will only hold the tip but you should minimize the surface area the glue is adhering to and use the dip powder for the long3st lasting results. Hope that helps

Kiara Sky Nails normally when the acrylic gets on the skin, I file it off before doing the seal or the top coat but I guess while doing that some oil from the skin may still be getting under the acrylic on the nail cause I know prep the nail really good. I’m gonna try to be more careful with the base placement and hopefully this will help!! Thank you guys!

I have eczema and I had to stop doing gel nails cause of products that would make my cuticles flare up and I’d get flares underneath my nails too. Oh this was great...loved the pinching tip. I KEEP having a problem with the top coat brush getting hard no matter how well I wipe the Seal & Protect and its aggravating! What on earth can I do differently? I've taken to using a gel coat and not even doing the 2nd Seal & Protect or Top Coat which I wish I didn't have to do because then I have to go and get my lamp :/ Anybody? Thanks in advance! Mary

The first time I tried the top coat my brush got hard because I painted it on super slow but I realized I had to put the top coat on super quick for the brush not to harden.

Hi Love!💕 The Seal Protect is what activates the Top Coat and the Dip Powder as a whole to dry. After applying the second Seal Protect make sure you really rub it in with a lint free cloth and then allow it to dry for a minute or two! If it is left wet, it will get into the Top Coat brush and activate it to dry.

Realistically, for someone who normally does regular acrylic and loves a long nail.. would you say doing this dip method rather than applying actual acrylic to the nail/tip, do you get enough structure where the nail would normally break from having so much length? I hope this question makes sense. I've just personally never been able to only do the dip (even trying it different ways), and they always seem to break right where the apex is because i cant seem to build enough strength right there :/ Any help or tips?
