How to double your RAM Speed/Performance in PC | at no cost

Most people are asking if it works or if it is harmful. Well let's take a history lesson. Back in the days when RAM modules used to be expensive, Microsoft came out with a solution to help the customers. This solution involved using a portion of the HDD as RAM. This technology is called virtual memory. Basically, what you are doing here by following the advice of the video is that you are allowing more of your HDD space to be allocated for virtual memory, which gives a performance boost because the memory increases. This memory is not RAM, it is virtual memory.

For those wondering how this works, this "virtual memory" does not actually add to your RAM. Instead, it's what's called a page file, an area on your hard drive that acts as extra memory. Your hard drive is much slower than your RAM, so it doesn't actually make anything faster. Instead, it's designed to allow you to run many programs at once without them crashing; without a page file, if your programs need more memory than what you have, they'll crash. Again, this method does nothing to your RAM and *will not* make your PC faster. There is only one way to improve your RAM's performance: get better RAM.

This works without damaging ram - Have done this for years especially for game play - No damage - You are releasing what could be considered as virtual ram to help improve system performance - The only downside is if you have too many programs running at once which might slow down system - If you don't need them delete them to free up space and you will find increased speed and performance - If you are not happy with result you can always go back to previous setting

It's probably using your paging files so called: "doubled ram speed performance increase wowwww". Put it back to system managed.

This is a very VERY old method that was used in the Windows XP (maybe 2000/98SE too) days where 1-2GB of ram was the standard. While making the page file static does free up a little bit of hard drive and processor power it does not "double your ram speed/performance" at all. In the example here where it was system managed his page file was 5376MB. He set it static to 6144MB so it can't be larger if needed, or smaller if it isn't needed. He increased the size of the file on his hard drive that the ram can use by less than 1GB, but then capped it. Doing this can have value. But the old school ratio of 1.5x your ram isn't necessarily where you should set it anymore. It varies based on your ram and your use.

If you’re wondering, yes, it’s safe. Does it work? Sort of. All this is doing is saying to your system “Okay this part of your drive is ram now” This will increase the actual amount of usable RAM, however hard drives and even ssds have speeds MUCH slower than RAM, so it isn’t really a good solution.

it is the solution in some cases , when you have a pretty fast cpu, but not enough ram , then you can use 2-3 small swap partitions ,with the same priority, to speed up. Default paging file setting doesn't work good with the lack of ram, it's for hibernation, basically.

To maximize this ur computer’s speed, make the minimum ram [(ur ram) x 1024 x *1.5*], and make the maximum ram [(ur ram) x 1024 x *3*]. Your system will be completely safe just make sure to not block ventilation.

That is adding virtual memory from an SSD or Hardrive. It will make the performance from your computer better in some cases, but the speed of for example Ddr 4 pc 2400mgh is 2400 * 8 = 19200 MB/'s. An SSD 540 MB/'s So if you can afford it, just upgrade your Ram.

To all the kids complaining that it does not double their ram from 2 GB, 4 GB etc and etc.: It is called virtual ram for a reason. It is *NOT* the real ram and there is no way to double your ram without spending your money. This increases your performance and helps your pc being more capable and being able to do high-end things. It is meant to make your pc perform better. Next up: If you'd say the title is clickbait, it is not. There is a reason for it it doubles your virtual ram which is also considered as your ram of the pc. It might not be shown on the computer but whenever pc needs it, it will immediately get it.

To double ram, you need to do this ((Your ram size) x 2) x 1024 And enter that in maximum ram. And in other text box (where we didn't entered a ram) enter your real ram size (ONLY in MB). And restart your computer

Setting a fixed value on virtual memory does not improve your performance. Comparing processing speed of RAM with the one of you storage device (where virtual memory is actually based on) is like 1st WW biplane trying to catch up with a SR-71 Blackbird at full speed. That is the speed difference... Even if we speak about fastest NVME SSD, still the gap is huge.. Virtual memory is by default set dynamic into PC, if you set it up to a fixed value, most likely you will get a BSOD every time your PC try to bypass that value

This is virtual ram not ram. Virtual ram is ram from your hard disk which is way slower than actual ram. It helps performance the computer will use virtual ram and spare some actual ram for more important things like gaming. But this alone wont just bring you 10-20 fps valorant matches to ultra settings cyberpunk 2077.

with what i know this is virtual ram, this gonna transfer how many stuff you can handle in the background into Ram. if you have higher virtual ram, the higher sped it gonna transfer to Ram ( just like a role reaction from hand touching hot stuff to brain reaction and back to that hand ). it is not really recommend for people who have 4Gb or lower. It can mess up your storage if you put it too high. ( i maybe wrong because i'm not expert at this but this is what i know )

This is not increasing RAM. This is using your hard disk drive/solid state drive part of it as a RAM. This will increase cache size(NOT RAM ITS SELF) which has advantages like decreasing the chance of crashing but speed will decrease.
