Personally, I have doubled my income several times since I started working in IT. But there are certain things you will need to do if you want to double your salary and income.
Of course, there are many ways to grow your salary. The method described in this video has worked for many and can easily be replicated. Many people wonder how to make more money in IT?! Depending on the app and what you do it can be a great starting point to become a subject matter expert for the app, develop additional skills and turn it into a great career. Of course, it needs to align with your personal interests. I am preparing a video about ServiceNow and how it allows to become a SME and make very good money.

Thank you. When I started out my goal was $65K and it sounded like a great salary back then. Well, it was but when you reach that point and realize what else is possible it definitely motivated me. You start have to start. You will make mistakes, but learn from mine and other people's mistakes and you will do just fine.

I actually put my resignation in on Monday for a pay cut. I'm going from 76k to 73k BUT I'm going to be working with azure instead of legacy tech at a medium/small business and they have a 5k eoy bonus. My new position also caps at 85k. My new boss told me once I'm fluent with my azure responsibilities he'll make me a Sr. Cloud admin which caps at 135k. Sometimes a small step backward can put in a better trajectory.

Were all of these salary increases done within the same role or were you changing roles and moving upwards within the career path each time you increases? Would you mind elaborating on which roles you progressed through along the timeline of this video or perhaps have a link to it? I’m looking to make a career change from pharmacy field because it has become a dead end and I’m realizing there is no room for growth so seeing some sort of progression or the path of growth you’ve taken would be extremely helpful. I’ve always been interested in tech and have built 2 desktops and do my own researching and troubleshooting when I have issues on my end and find it fun and fulfilling when I get to the root of things and solve my problem so I figured making the jump into IT as a career would be one that’s meaningful to me. Just doing my due diligence to see what part of the field I may want to lean in towards so I’m researching at the moment while applying to help desk jobs to get my foot in the door and exposure to the field. I know my path may not end up the same but just a general idea would be helpful.

isnt it better to invest time in one company so that your not jumping around and not building relationships or is it just a cold environment where all there is that people think about is to jump around like a jackrabbit from one company to another looking for the bigger paycheck, i would think that your managers and bosses would just drop you at a drop of a dime as soon as they find somebody better that can do your job, please provide some guidance to this statemnt really intrested in what you have to say abut this things i have stated

Application Support. IT Manager. Help Desk. IT Coordinator. Systems Analyst. System Administrator. IT Project Manager. Some of these may require some scripting knowledge though, but there are plenty of roles where it is not needed.
