UPDATE as of 12/30/24 THE PATCHER HAS BEEN UPDATED TO WORK WITH THE CURRENT VERSION! However Xenoverse 2 Revamp needs time to update and you still need to downgrade in order to play with that mod specifically. You need to have Ver 1.22.02 and Patcher 4.3 to get revamp working correctly. I’m not sure since the depot will download wherever your steam is. Maybe try changing where your steam is located. Or just making space for this specifically.

Unfortunately, there's no way to download the 4.3 version of the patcher. They updated it and removed the old download for some reason. Why would they do that when they know the situation with updates? That's infuriating, they know better than that. Anyways, at this point it's just waiting for revamp and the other mods I want to update. Nothing else we can really do unless they decided to upload the old version too.

I downgraded copy pasted everything installed the patcher and everything correctly i think, however when i try to start the game i get a black screen no error and game closes again. any advice? ( i never modded Xeonverse games before and hitting a wall with it currently) Mods i installed where just New Transformations (Added Skills) and a mod that allows to get all PQ rewards everytime to get rid of grinding.

Ah that happens sometimes 😅 Go into your bin folder and take the Xinput file out. Mods will be disabled for a bit (that’s normal) then load that part up again and it should let you through. Do this with any other character you have so you don’t have to do it again. Once you’re done add the xinput back to the bin and all your mods will go back to normal and you’ll be past that part.

Depends on how long it takes for you to typically download a game. Also don’t open the folder until it says depot complete it may stop the download process

It might’ve not finished downloading all the way. Delete the app_454650 folder, verify the game files and try the downgrade code again.

Dude it says it failed to load save data, and if I want to delete existing save data and create a new one, I made a back up of my save before doing this so I guess that one is ok but I don't know what to do now

If you already played on the new version your save data won’t work. I’d recommend just getting a new save loaded then getting everything back with the save editor, and use your old save whenever you want to play the new version.

1. Yes but you both need to manually set it up in the patcher and make sure you install the same mods (for ease of use) 2. The version is shown in the video but as of now you should be playing on 1.21.2 if you want mods to work. 3. If you’re new to modding you should know that it’s difficult to get the xenoverse 2 patcher and modding tools right now so unless you already have them there’s no point in downgrading rn.

I'm able to mod DBXV2 thanks to your video with the xv2ins but I'm having issues installing some mods that are xml format. The installer only puts in x2m files and doesn't recognize xml files. Do you guys know how to install xml mod files or convert them to x2m?

So XMLs are typically just to open up entries. X2Ms don’t require installers (unless the modder says so) so you should only need to download the x2m If you’re editing a xml file you might need to use a tool called the xml serializer to make it a file readable by xeno.

For some reason the couple of mods I've downloaded, had the file show up being only named "x2m" but being labeled as a "Microsoft Edge HTML Document" and others being their respective name such as "Name of character or outfit" being labeled as an X2M file. I'm just not sure what to do with the XML files or how to put them in.

You probably didn’t install the patcher correctly. Just copy and paste everything in the patcher 4.23 folder into the db xenoverse 2 folder.

I go into this in the second half but basically you’re just going to install xenoverse 2 again, with this you’re going to need enough storage for another Xenoverse 2. 1. Change the name of the Xenoverse 2 directory (it could be anything but I just call it Xenoverse 2 modded) 2. Copy your save file and paste it into a safe folder ( I just call mine old version backup.) 3. reinstall xenoverse 2 or update it from steam, if you change the name of your modded directory it won’t effect your mods just be sure when you’re using installers that you’re using the right directory. 4. Once you update your going to want to keep your new save file and switch to the old one whenever you play the modded version or the new save if you’re playing on the current version.

Xenoverse 2 auto-updated for me, and I didn't realize it until it was too late. This video should be a really big help. I'll keep y'all posted on what happens. Edit: This method worked perfectly! My game was downgraded to the version I needed, and it even kept the Revamp modpack installed, which I had on before the game updated.

You probably have to update then downgrade again. Once you update go to your xenoverse 2 steam settings and verify the integrity of the game files. If you still have your depot folder you don’t have to redownload the downgraded xenoverse. If that doesn’t work it could be how you downloaded the depot, if it doesn’t say download complete or you opened the depot folder before it finished all the way you probably have to redownload that again.

Mines won't install for some reason, it finishes the bin and CPK files and that's about it. i have tons of storage left, i could download this game 10 times over.

Are you getting a failure error? If not it’s still installing. Don’t open it until it’s ready.

ok i downgraded to 1.22.02 and patcher 4.3 but when I go to the character select menu it doesn't show anything and I cant press anything or leave that screen.

@@hurricaneslayer-ni9ebif it doesn’t boot up from the bin folder then you’re gonna have to update and then reinstall the downgrade. So delete whatever is in your depot folder already then just follow this part of the video 2:04 then try to do the download again. I’ve heard that people have issues when they check the depot folder before everything is ready so maybe that’s why all the files didn’t install.

Uninstall the game then reinstall and verify the game files. After that try the downgrade again.
