Dot Butler would be proud of you. I only just discovered your sites today, maps have always been a problem to get and a pain to work with in the bush. Magnetic grids, cutting them down and somehow making them more durable helped. The Yanks have booklets of maps for trails, when you've done one section, you just rip it out and use it to start a fire. Imagine double sided printing combined with track notes. Officeworks or the like may be useful for those that don't have the tech. Go Tiger...Go

in Adobe pdf reader press 'button edit', go to 'more', select 'Take a snapshot', ..... select your print area with this tool

G'day Looks good. I've printed thing in the past from "Fire North" They have active fire data amd overlay onto various map imagesincluding topo.

sometimes i do use photoshop software, open the pdf in there, button 'image', then 'canvas size', then i do change it to A3 size, ...... press 'ctrl & T' together to move map into right position to print on A3, ... then save it as pdf again, .... the i go to officeworks to print that A3 file ...

Great tip for condensing onto one page. What how many cm is each grid square when you shrink it this way? I’m guessing everything is pretty squished depending not the detail in the terrain (ie. close contours)?
