Thank you for this. My teacher taught me rubbish, wasted my fabric. The side panels were longer than the centre panel after joining. Thank God i just found this tutorial and I believe I'll do it right now.

You're welcome, it happens like that sometimes, what you need to do is to add more allowance at the lower part so that after joining, you measure the desired length and trim out the excess.

You are just a pro. I am a designer too and on vacation. Being free I decided to see what is happening in the fashion world only to realize that there are tons of videos on the internet. Guess what? Yours stood. A case in point: most videos would say remove 2 or 3 on the waist line without actually telling why 2 most be removed. Yours gave a formula for determining that( burst minus waist divided by 2)👌 . This is for the right side od the line. On the left side of the vertical line, you said to remove 1 or 1/2. I suggest you also give a formula for determining whether to remove 1 or 1/2.
