I know absolutely nothing about plumbing. Not a blessed thing! Had a rad develop a hole in the middle of the night. Water everywhere. This video saved me. Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏 If there was a way to tip on YT then I absolutely would

A great video and very clever how to use plastic bags to catch the water from the radiator. Top marks to a clever man!

Superb Video thank you. I'm quite handy with plumbing but I've never removed a radiator before. Now I need to so this video confirmed everything for me. Good work. Cheers.

Great idea using rubble sacks. Thank you. To reduce the risk of spillage I used a clothes peg to hold the bag tight around the pipe and valve.

Always a pain to drain a rad and have seen a number of different methods, some very messy. Like others have said, it is a good idea to use a strong bag, haven’t done that before and will give it a go very soon 👍

You are meant to cap off the TRV side and lock sheild side.

especially the TRV, what if the temp drops and triggers the frost protection :)

Is it the same for a vertical radiator? I need to replace one like for like.
