How to Drain & Flush a Hot Water Heater

Hi Bandit, Great question! There are 2 signs that I look for, the first sign is if you are taking a shower and notice that the hot water doesn't last as long as it used to last. Example (if you normally take 30 minute showers and now the hot water only last for 20 minutes). The 2nd sign I look for or actually listen for is if the hot water heater is making a lot of popping and cracking noises when the burner is on and the water inside is coming up to temperature. If there is a lot of sediment in the bottom of the hot water heater all those minerals in that sediment will make the popping and cracking sounds. All that sediment in the bottom of the water heater will reduce the efficacy of the water heater. I hope this is helpful. Thanks for watching!
