How To Dramatically Improve Clutch Feel! | Underrated Mod For The TT!

We are finally starting to work on my TT roadmap this week! Today's focus is on upgrading the clutch bleeder block. In my opinion, this is an incredibly under talked about mod for any vw based manual transmission. It improves clutch feel as well as reliability. It also happens to be quite affordable, which makes it even better! We also take some time to replace some of the broken trim on the inside of the car. The project is really starting to feel a whole lot more put together.

Love your enthusiasm. I got a 2000 TT a year ago and I also love that you really recognize the improvement when you repair something. But it's worth it as the car itself and the engine are rock solid.

Great upgrade ! Me too, I never thought one can do this simple stuff. A to do thing for my 2001 225 coupé ( that I’m proud to says that I own it since the begining, 21 years ago ;) Brand new !

@@HunterDirection Indeed, it’s a long love story, and yes I’m the almost only driver. Time to time, a friend can drive it, with me on the passenger seat of course ;) Since 4 or 5 years, Some parts are tired and thanx God, videos like yours help me to replace some worns stuff. 245 000 km. Old lady.

I didn't get a close enough look to tell. But on some Audi or VW models, that bleeder valve can be twisted open to remove the tiny plastic restriction plate inside.

Great upload! Im defiantly going to buy one of these bleeder blocks as my one is leaking ...I got quoted from Audi $275AU for a factory fitted version. Keep the Mk1 TT content coming. : )

So glad you made this video, and the words or explanation you gave with your results. Now I know how to fix my TT! Always felt like their was a delay in my pedal, and the car didn't want to leave gear. In the beginning of your video I was thinking oh maybe I have air in my line, but the other results or benefits you experienced doing this mod had me smiling! Tyvm.

I am so stoked that you both found the video useful! I am still quite shocked this upgrade isn't talked about nearly as much as it should be. Having a linear clutch feel is a huge upgrade in my opinion. I had the same delay issue before this. The clutch felt nothing like my s4 clutch and I never really knew why until now. Hey man, I've had my TT for years now and shes been needing everything you've been showing in these videos. I don't know too much about working on cars, but I watch some of your videos over and over again so I could start to feel more confident in doing some things myself! I picked up my B5 for 1200$ not running, but it came with over 2k in upgraded parts...ko4,giac chip, walbro fuel pump, 3"exhaust.... love every time I get new parts and there's such a joy fixing my car! Looking forward to seeing what else you have coming!

Love The Vid But Unfortunatly The Ecs Bleeder Doesnt fit on 2002 180hp tt and i learned it the hard way due to it being just barely short on the side with the slave cylinder clip placement.
