I like the way you did your drape, it was easier. I was taught the old way of draping a pant pattern in school. You took the fear of draping pants out of the equation for me in that you showed me that it's 1part flat patterning and 1part drape. I have a size 10 full body dress form that I bought over 6 years ago. Thank you. Christmas is coming and I love those scissors. I probably couldn't afford them but they would make a wonderful gift to me.😁😂 11/20/2018 and I just tried following this tutorial and for my measurements of my dress form it didn't work but it gave me a better reference point of how to do a pant pattern. I should have used the 12 inch thigh measurement. I will not have to go back to the drawing board. Thank you sir

Your lessons are AMAZING!!! Thank you 'sew' much! I've been watching another fitting type show, she's also has a show on Create channel, for several years. I've watch 3 of your videos and learned much more from you in 30 minutes than I've learned from her in years. The first one was how to add to my dress form. I was sitting here thinking "Now why didn't I think of THAT!" I finally made a pair of pants yesterday that I draped myself, legs are perfect, from crotch up to waist too tight and too short. My dress form does not have the legs and I don't have anyone to help with the pinning and draping. I'm a very odd shape, very odd! Large waist and mid-section, tiny legs and butt. I hate for my pants to be too big in the crotch! I've never owned a pair of jeans, they don't fit even though I've lost 120 pounds. Current wt 135. I'm also shrinking, from 5'2" down to 4'9.5" due to osteoporosis and 2 back surgeries. Anyway, to my question, how can I drape with out the dress form and with out good help? I would love to be able to wear a pair of jeans! Everyone comments on how I dress up all the time, (I do LOVE to dress up!) but I'd like to make a pair of jeans!

In your expertise, is it advisable to have an invisible zipper without a zipper flap in front of the pants. I dislike zippers at the back and sides of the pants.
