In my opinion, human heads are A LOT harder to draw than animal or furry heads because I never realy grew up drawling humans. The only thing I did grow up drawling were animals.

well generally you want to practice your line control by drawing the shapes. however i think its fine to use on the sketch layer as long as your inking layer is done by hand. you will get plenty of line control practice that way
