I am very grateful for your willingness to share your talent with others. Whether I try the painting or not, your videos are a pure joy to watch. Could you please explain the reasons you use black sanded paper? Is 400 grit fine enough to get a similar quality? I tried this one on regular sketch paper with very poor results. :-( But I still had a good time! Finally, would you consider recording in real time and maybe explaining what you are doing. :-) Thank you again for sharing with us! Your talent is unique and your art is breathtaking!

Cristopher, Many thanks for your words! I am very pleased! I use sandpaper fine-grained 800, 1000, 1200. I like the texture and the final effect more than pastel paper. 400 is also suitable, but take care of your fingers, use Paper Blending Stump (made of pressed cardboard or silicone) This week there will be video in real time. Juan! I live in Russia and the cost of works of art is different. I find it difficult to answer this question. If you are painting for sale, then please use quality pastel paper. The sandpaper is good for quick small sketches, and student works. But for more serious artwork, it is not suitable. P.S. I' sorry, my English is not perfect. I hope you understand me.😊

I have the Faber castell Pitt pastel pencils, but for the soft pastels would you recommend the sennellier, I can only get one set and I see you use Rembrandt as well. Also the only black sandpaper I could find is silicone coated is that ok
