Thank you, I want to say much more but I think thank you fits perfectly. You're my go to channel for helping my hand draw my maps. My players complimented me on some of my maps and I had to tell them I was straight robbing the artistic style from this dude on KZbin, and I promptly stopped my DND session to show off the channel. Personally I am playing a solo game of the cyberpunk genre, in an underground city on Mars. And with this it made me want to finally try to create the map of it. Huzzah, i do lava a little different, mostly dark stimpiling close to solid structures and leave open/hot areas in between those colder/ stippled areas. But it helps sell it better if you use multiple colours, obviously.

I know this was a quick drawing as an example of how to. But I also like how you do the wall fill in with the multitude of line/dashes. That give it that old school feel.

The finished product was very evocative. By the way the dark lava would be cooler so maybe stippling along the banks next time? Some nitpicky geology person will probably call you out on that.😅
