You and your way of teaching remind me a lot of my favorite artist Kienan Lafferty. That selfless way to share your knowledge and teaching is what’s going to make a future where there will be many good nice artists and creators. It’s ok for those who never share anything for free, I respect their decision and their hard work, but I believe the world needs better artists. And that can only be achieved with more people like you or Kienan. Thanks Brookes. I love your content. ❤️

Really love your Videos, me (almost 35) just started to learn drawing and there is so endless much to learn... but those Videos of you really give me some orientation point! First started with Animals, still struggle on the Construction bits and especially the perspective. Of course its the practice but I hope it will get better. Keep on doing your Videos, they are great!

Thanks ! I never realized that All my boy characters had skinny rectangular bodies and my girls were slightly rounder. Now I have been waken up from my endlessly similarly simple designs

THANKS the trick with starting by shoulders and hips helped me a lot because I didn't have trouble creating interesting shapes but my characters always looked so wrong when I started moving them into different positions ! Definitly going to practice this. By the way, do you plan to make a video about the body from different perspectives and how to keep them consistent in very dynamic positions ? Thanks for your amazing tutorials :)

Hmm. I hope there are more video parts to the series. I really want to see how you form these characters through this method. And then maybe I'll consider seeing if it works for my drawing style. Thank you for being so helpful and charismatic~ I love watching your videos.

+Danny Hasacupcake Thank you, that's just it! This is a baseline you can adapt from. I would recommend attempting these things first and adapting them in the direction you feel more comfortable with later. Style is great, but learning all you can from fundamentals is really helpful in the long run.

Well, yes. I'm just curious to see where you take it from here ^^ I don't do much character design but I have found myself drawing figures recently. So I'm curious to see how your way turns out, if that makes sense. Fundementals are the most important thing in art XD Some people just go about it differently, you know?

One question; do you compose your own music? Also, as usual, great job; this video is very informative and entertaining. I'm hyped for your videos on drawing better limbs that you briefly mentioned. Something I would love to see more of would be how to design ensemble characters that work together but, still contrast, if that makes any sense.

The last video used an _Animal Crossing_ song that I recognised if that helps, so there's at least one example where that couldn't be. I can't speak for the other videos though.

Not sure if you take requests, but can you show an example of how to use these tools to draw a pouncing cat? (Or any of the cat family?)

When I draw people I always start with the eye brows and just build from there. I might sound weird but it works for me. The only drawback is it's hard for me to draw characters from The Simpsons except for Millhouse
