Sisyphus is Camus’ example of an absurd hero, he manages to find happiness and meaning within his apparently meaningless, torturous life because of his constant choice to never “stop here”.

Personally, I like having one leg support most of the weight, while the other is more free expression. It’s good to have a perspective that isn’t directly facing the viewer as well. That way you can get a more dynamic feel. It also helps to have a line of action. Draw a line starting from the head down to the feet and make the pose follow this line of action. That way, it all has a sense of flow. Personally, I find it best to keep this line simple. Just a curved line or an S shaped line works really well. Don’t be afraid to twist certain body parts either. You can have the hips face a different direction from the shoulders, leaving a sense of interest with the chest area, while you can do similar things with arms and legs. And like the video mentioned, gravity is a thing. You don’t want your characters to look like their gonna fall over unless that’s what your going for, so be aware of their center of gravity.

Another tip: line of action! Draw a line in the pose from the top of the head, to the leg. It can help make more dynamic poses, and less stick-figure ones. Also, try drawing gesture too! It helps a ton.

Sisyphus originated from Greek mythology where he was an evil king and he murdered a little bit too much people so when he died Hades told him to forever push a boulder up a hill and once he got to the top of the hill he could leave but the hill was on a 80° angle so as much as he tried he could never get to the top an be freed. (Sorry about the late post)
