I have actually been struggling with my art for a long time. Going through high school, I always felt like my art wasn't good enough and I got to the point where I just quite drawing. Now that I have started back up, I have been able to slowly realize that it doesn't matter what other people think of my style and that it's ok to make mistakes. I actually found your channel while drawing to understand cel shading, and you have been the biggest help! Your tutorials are amazing and I can actually understand the techniques you use. I just wanted to say thank you for putting these videos up! It means a lot to me and many other artists!!

Dear Jazza, I love drawing, and I love KZbin and in general, electronics, so I am proud to say that I love this channel, and I would LOVE to draw like this... the problem is that I can't, I don't want to beg my parents (Due to "Events" I would not like to talk about. Is there anything that doesn't cost money? It may sound like I am begging you to give me money, with is not entirely true, but not entirely not true... I just want to be able to draw like you, (I sound greedy, woops!) and this message isn't all about me, I also have another request. Pleas do a made up challenge: try drawing your best particle effects, but no filters, like only collors, and I guess maby shadded colors, but I don't know if thats a "Filter"ish thing. So, ya! Your channel has kept me up and I really love your content, you are a great drawer and you have lots of skill. Please don't quit KZbin and keep coming out with you inspiering content! I also am not so good at spelling... as you can see. But in all seriousness, awsome drawings, and I would like to be like you. Mabe even have my own drawing channel! Along with a gaming one... -Please see this message, thanks, Bennett

First off, practice, second, don’t draw like Jazza. He’s okay for a KZbin animator, but he’s not the best artist. If you want to be good check out Feng Zho, he does tutorials, and Is just a phenomenal artist. So check him out.

You can get some of the same effects traditionally with a bit more planning. You can also download free digital programs (firealpaca, or Ibis Paint X if you want to draw on a phone) also P R A C T I C E

@@gary1315 I agree with you, that everyone should try to find their own style, but it doesn't hurt to get inspired by the artists you like. I will say that I think it's wierd that you encourage this dude to not look at Jazza's stuff. I agree with you that Feng Zhu is a great artist, but so is Jazza. It all comes down to people having different tastes in art styles, and personally I love Jazza's style (that kinda why I follow him), and if the op prefers Jazza's style, shouldn't he be allowed to be inspired by him? :)

The reason the filters work that way is because it flattens everything before the filter, meaning by the time it gets to the inner glow, the outer glow will be part of the object. The inner glow will then also be on the outer glow. Great video, thanks for this.

First of all, thank you Jazza for sharing this technique with us! I do not have Photoshop, I have procreate and I am just learning about the possibilities of digital art. It’s really informative to watch somebody like you go through your process. Also, I absolutely love the fantasy genre so this was very interesting for me personally :-) the only one of these that I didn’t really like was the acid? I picture it as dripping or bubbling down rather than floating up. I don’t know if I would’ve looked at that without any context and thought of acid. But that’s just me personally! I am totally unfamiliar with The book or comic or whatever it was that you referenced as being your inspiration for that acid, so I’m sure that doesn’t help me either ha ha
