Super helpful! I've always hated drawing feet because they never looked right. I love when you (and other tutorials) break it down into shapes. I used to not understand why, but I have in recent years started to find it extremely useful for knowing how to properly draw something.

In general, learning the underlying structure and learning to simplify it is vital. Shoes are designed to fit your feet so you need to know how to draw feet. Generally, anything you use is designed to be used by humans so you need to think about how objects conform to human anatomy. Gun grips are at an angle because of the way our hands close and the length of our fingers for example.

Do you have any suggestions for drawing shoes from below at an angle? I know it's a matter of rearranging the shapes, but my experiments on that have been... mixed, to sat the least. Just wanna draw people walking away from the viewer without their feet turning into blobs.
