Hi Lex, thanks alot for these two videos, I just did them both as my first attempt at Geometry, man the interlacing took a little while for me to get my head around. Came out well, very educational lets say. Going to do again tomorrow, applying what i've learnt. Cheers Tom

I just discovered your channel. I’ve been doing similar kinds of things mostly starting from Ukrainian egg patterns. I really like the organic feel of your fill in designs compared to your geometric construction line discipline, and I really like your final shadowing step.

This is impressive! Can you help me to understand the pattern of which lines go “under” and which ones go “over?” I can’t quite figure it out
@junglst3 жыл бұрын
You first choose one as over, the next one is therefore under. And so on.

Is there a method for knowing when to "go over" versus "go under?" I see the over/under/over/under pattern, but does it just work out no matter where you start from?
@LexWilson7 жыл бұрын
kcthewanderer it doesn't matter - it's one continuous line so it will always alternate perfectly. For the first few times, it's best to start somewhere and follow the line rather than fill from top to bottom as I do in this video (that can get confusing!)
@kcthewanderer7 жыл бұрын
Whoa, thanks for the quick reply! I'll give that a try. Your freehand pattern fills are gorgeous, by the way. Thanks for the tutorial!
