@@neel6978 anatomy is all you need for sculpting human structure and poses. Before that you should understand proportions of the body though. Then for details look for references and techniques. When you want to start sculpting objects, use references, and understand the 3rd dimensional (Perspective would be 2d Drawing). Anyhow, It's been 6 months, I hope you're doing well.

i never learned much about the body structure when i was in younger, so i had a really faint idea of how it really worked, but these two videos of anatomy literally blew my mind. i'm so so amazed and in love with how the body works, and how each bone and muscle is intertwined with each other so perfectly. i've recently started wanting to get back to drawing, but because i didn't have a solid base of human anatomy and other basic stuff i've been stuck to continue further and actually improve my drawing skills, so i decided that it was best for me to start everything all over with the basics! it's gonna take some time to learn the bones and muscles, but i think this will help me a lot with envisioning the different movements (but i'm gonna struggle a lot with putting every concept into an actual drawing). thank you so much really for this very insightful explanation!

this video has helped me SO MUCH with drawing the male torso, THANK YOU! i do have a question, though: you mentioned very briefly a little difference between male and female. i've been really struggling to translate my current level of knowledge of male torso anatomy into female torso anatomy. do you have any tips on doing that? or plans for a video highlighting the differences to make it easier? i've found loads of tutorials on males (likely due to the ease of seeing their muscle), but struggle finding ones about females that are more in depth than "draw a circle and a triangle, and then put skin and boobs on!" there's nothing wrong with those, and i'm certain once i've gotten a better grasp on the underlying anatomy i will likely simplify to that extent. idk... i guess i just can't find something that can/does answer my questions about how/why females are shaped so differently. i haven't found much in the realm of "there's fat here, in general, and that causes this to do this on females, instead of doing this like it does on males." you know? it's always just dudes, for obvious practical reasons, and if i were to just smush what i know together, i'd just be slapping some boobs on male torsos. gosh that's long...

I'm confident saying watching this and part 1 has leveled up my art skill, I have been comfortably drawing bodies and poses with so much more ease while before I usually just faffed about for sometimes hours to make a sketch get anywhere near what I wanted. You're the best

This video was recommended to me (I wish I could draw competently). All I can do while watch is wiggle limbs around and feel different muscles flexing and releasing. Thank you for a wonderful introduction to "how bodies are". :D

Your videos are extremely helpful, clear and to the point. It's teaching me more than I ever thought I could do. I draw ever since I was able to get a pencil in my hand, but had a hard time with teachers. Always went out and did my own thing. People still loved it, but it was all too primitive, instinct more than thought. And in a way, it slowes me down when I have to draw on comission or when I have a fixed time to draw. And I have developed some techniques over the years, but thanks to your tutorials, I'm learning a lot more than I thought possible. Thank you very much Alphonso!

Michael Hampton's book combined with your video....I think I finally mastered anatomy. I was stumped on remembering things but I fully get it now it is connecting the dots.
