ok a good manga / anime artist make they own style not just takeing things from other artist and 2 redrawing old stuff is ok but not always the best idea and always good to work on new stuff and for poses you can get ideas from cartoons , anime , manga , and even real people and you don't need copics to draw manga you can use anything

i think it's a good starting point for an artist if they let their style be influenced by other people's artwork as long as they aren't copying it exactly. if you decide you like the way someone draws eyes and try to do it like them, eventually the eyes will change when you draw them over and over again and become a part of your own style.

Cecilia Fowl Yeah, for example look at Hiro Mashima, Eiichiro Oda and Akira Toriyama's artwork They're similar but not exactly the *SAME.* Every popular manga artist most likely started out by copying other artists but then developed their own style. When you copy someone you'll eventually develop your own style

This was extremly helpful! Ive just started drawing in the past few months. I find it extremly hard to think of my own clothing ideas. But getting ideas from your own clothes is a great idea. I also love the random line - pose idea. I have so many manga drawing books and they do help but this was extremly helpful. Thank you :)

I love manga it's something I take time to read every single day and it never fails to put a smile in my ass. I watched Bakuman and that anime is literally one of my favourites it made me love drawing and ever since watching Bakuman I always try to draw characters and practise even more, because I'm not the best now but I want to be. I like drawing anime I've been thinking about what if I learn drawing better, what do I do then? But I'm still a beginner sadly, my age might not be suited or it might be too late for me :(.

@adelechick i don't look like a japanese girl but i can understand a little of their language and my mangas are pretty good but i never publish them because i'm too young (im actually 13) when i get older i'll probably be able to publish them.i dont have very many friends who are so much in to manga as i am so i only have friends online who like manga as much as i do. i call myself emo even though i dont cut myself. my mangas are sometimes about like shojo beat kind of and i make other mangas

one way that helps me, personally, come up with clothes is dress up games. A lot of the times I'll spend a few minutes on Doll Divine or Rinmaru Games looking at different clothes and different styles. Also If you're designing a character it's good to come up with clothing styles that match that specific character's personality (example: a rebellious character would probably wear a lot of punk, a bubbly/eccentric character would probably wear sweet lolita or fairy kei, etc.)

Xnikomimi99, I've been drawing for 10 yes now and I have so much trouble with hands, feet, bodies, and clothing, the best thing you can do you get better at these things is to draw what your not good at and keep drawing them till you get the concept of it, even if you don't want to do it, the practice will pay of in the future :333
