I wish there were more davinci resolve tutorials. Namely ones that teach you how to create certain video effects for music videos. Like the premiere pro ones

@@JamieFenn sicko mode - Travis Scott. I think I figured it out though. Its a specific program that actually creates the effect. Cinecom did a tutorial on some of the visual effects and the I wanted to replicate was the datamoss one. (Distorting a person into a weird pixel glitch damaged state

key point of distinction...make sure your paint tool is on multistroke and not just stroke. multistroke allows you to animate and stroke just keeps the same drawn shape throughout the clip

Yeeeep. I'm brand new to the newer video making. It's similar to photoshop, but for video. The tools are wonderful; but I now need to dedicate at least 2 hours a day to learn, to create, OR to edit. It is both wonderful and very taxing on time. I'm sure it will get easier; but you have to trip before you learn how to run without tumbling all over the place. Like anything else.

Those who are having problem with the glow not being able to paint on the screen (VIDEO). Try bringing up the Paint and Soft glow nodes WHILE selecting the background and then by pressing SHIFT + SPACE for select tool box exactly as in the video above. Worked for me.

These things are complex at first and can ruin your work or mood if not done right. just found your account, this is absolutely awesome after hearing from a buddy at work who also is into editing told me about resolve, I had never personally heard of it up until last week, ive always used after effects the fact that this is free software and capable of such work is making me seriously consider downloading it, subscribed man appreciate the tutorial ive been looking to do similar in after effects and this looks 10's of times easier on here and im not one to shy away from time consuming tasks, ive spent 8 hours masking for one music video so this is something that excites me

Hey Jamie Fenn! I made a mistake while editing one frame and accidentally saved the project. How do i go back and remove parts of the glowing paint? Is there and erase feature or something? crtl+z doesn't work because it was saved and closed out of.

Yes use the eraser, fined it over on the inspecter tab, where you see a list of icons like barbed wire you should fine the eraser.

ZAZOsLP great question! And what a great idea. And honestly - I’ve thought about it but haven’t tried it. I think the tracking data would translate over to moving what you painted to move that path.

Obx Boyyy you would go back and forward on the arrow key and try to remember. Go back see where it was then go forward and continue I just got it and it isn’t that hard to remove

whenever I try and bring a clio into fusion not only did before, I wasn't able to paint anything. Now it just changes the entire clip to being black no matter where I bring it after wards. Please help!!!

Professor Ozpin if you follow the steps correctly you shouldn’t have any problem. Also, a basic understanding of how nodes work in fusion will help a lot.

Nice video bro I just found out about this video editing program Davici resolve looks really cool a lot of people are comparing it to after effects but all the tutorials am seeing using DaVinci resolve is only about transitions and color grade nothing really cool like Blockbuster fx how to fly jump through walls X-Men teleportation type effects walk on walls those type of cool superhero effects.
