For me what I do to help know where the nose and eyebrows will be is the top and bottom of the ear. They match up and can help when your going a face from the front. Doesn't work that much with angled faces. And with the mouth , it matches up with the points of he jaw from the front. Hope this makes sense and hope I helped!
