great lesson ! the difference from side to side is so much better than from up and down . for me i just turn the paper from side to side . actually i like a bit of an angle .

You can totally turn the paper when you need to. I keep it very straight when I'm recording but if Im drawing naturally I do turn the page so it is on a slight angle. If the paper is on too much of an angle you might face challenges with angles and proportions when you are drawing from a resource photo so I'd suggest trying to keep the angle less than 45 degrees.
