if your stuck for poses, something I do is pause fighting games mid action, it's very nice for falling poses, as there's a lot of knockdown and "flying" animations that would be hard to get from life.

When you said, "How do you get good at it?" I honestly expected you to just say, "You practice" and leave it at that. I really appreciated that you went ahead and drew several examples, essentially practicing it yourself. That in itself was really helpful along with the explanations.

This video currently has 145k views and I'm astounded it doesn't have more. Not just on this vid Sycra, but across all of your tutorials. I've never seen such care and attention to detail with providing instruction...for FREE! People seem to think that good artists are automatically good teachers. You are one of the rare few that is both and it's such shame you're being overlooked by so many potential artists 😔

I used to think of these concepts quite profound. I've studied them myself quite a bit, but the way you deliver it is amazing. the way you break down the anatomy to such a bare bones setup is amazing. it's this shift in thinking that brings me back to you're videos every time. thank you sycra, I've "leveled up" a multitude of times thanks to you. please keep doing what you do.

Hahaha, so, it simplifies into this triangle shape...now let me go super in depth explaining it in a super easy to understand way. Love this tut. So many are just like, so, this triangle, skips everything important as to why it’s a triangle and where it all comes from.

It's clear you've been drawing for many years, and think a lot about your craft. There were some things I missed the first time, came back, and noticed you mentioned it- i just didn't pay enough attention. I'm going to have to keep rewatching and really take in all the advice you give, because you explain things in terms of their function to the artist. Thank you so much for making this type of content.

I know I already commented, but I wanted to say that I put the ideas in this video to the test while drawing from memory in my sketchbook. Worked like a charm. That orange part you shared in the video was the key to helping me. I've been studying Michael Hampton's book all year, which is really helpful in it's own right, but that part of the forearm is divided up a ton in the book. That made it never stick in my memory with all the twisting and turning while constructing arms. So thanks again. Sharing this 3 part method definitely helped solidify my understanding of what's going on at the top of the forearm.

This might not matter much now because of the age of the video but while following along and practicing I admit there were times when this was tough to follow. The information itself wasn't necessarily bad or difficult to understand, but if anyone wishes to follow this and practice too take note that Sycra does jump around so you may need to pause the video and make sure you're drawing on the correct arm when he's talking about the positioning of some of those muscle groups. At the end of the day this got me to practice drawing some forearms and it was nice to hear a different perspective about it. Thank you for the lesson Sycra.

FYI, the Triceps connect to the olecranon (the bone at the bottom of the triangle), not the epicondyles. They work to Extend the forearm and they couldn't do that if they were connected to the humerus bone. Don't take this as a slam. This is a really good video. Just wanted to correct that so people wouldn't misunderstand. Also, when the arm is straight, all three in the triangle line up straight horizontally (as the olecranon rotates up).
