I purchased the big brush bundle yesterday and tried this video by myself. The result was somewhat different from what I thought. What I mean is when fill in the blank in the petals, each brushing stroke leaves the dark edges(as the brush's name stands for). So, it doesn't look at all like your video's nice shade. I'm just a beginner so please enlighten me. Hope to learn and enjoy watercolor drawing :) By the way, soon as I came across your channel, I became a big fan of you! 👍

Hi! Sorry, this is quite an old tutorial and I should probably delete it as don't explain things very well... When using watercolor brushes, try drawing entire sections (in this case) without lifting the pencil. If you do lift the pencil and get overlays, it's really not the end of the world: simply use the water blender brush to smooth them out :)

Thank you! Super helpful, easy to follow and fun tutorial. Have you tried using the overlay layermode for creating wet in wet washes? I accidentally found out while painting along with you. So thank you for that too...:)

I'm so glad you enjoyed the tutorial :) And yes, _overlay_ is such a cool blending mode! I use it a lot in my fall themed tutorials, which are scheduled to come out starting next week. You're ahead of the curve haha
