I do have Wacom Cintiq, Intuos Pro Medium, Induos 3 wide and iPad Pro. I stopped using all of them except my old trustworthy Intuos 3 with 4K Monitor. I feel comfortable using it 🤗. It's my first tablet and they built like a tank. Thank you for the video.

No courses as of yet, but I have been teasing the idea of one for a while. Every time I go to work on it though something comes up and then I need to make another video for this channel. I have it all mapped out though, a cartoon drawing course, digital illustration course, portrait course, etc. Every video has been planned, I just need to find time to make it haha. Looks like I might get some more time towards the middle-end of this year.

Thanks so much for saying that! Unfortunately, you're not the only person that's asked me this. Frankentoon has since updated his website to a whole new domain. This brush used to come free in a pack, but it doesn't seem to be available in any of his packs anymore. It's a shame, but honestly, just set up a brush with tapered ends and that's all there is to it. I don't know how many times I've told people this (and I don't think half of them believe me) but you DO NOT NEED this brush to make work like this. You can do this with nearly any brush, just enable pressure sensitivity if you're drawing with a tablet for tapered ends, of manually taper the ends. Inks pro is not the "be all and end all" of brushes, it's just something I find myself using to save time. Please experiment and you will be able to pull this off :)

Unfortunately because I'm just started with even just think on this I would like to become a graphic designer I thought not really necessary to invest to much money in so I'm using my computer and mouse. The idea is to draw some nice design what is in my head which is pretty hard because I never draw before. I have the art in my mind but not in my hand at the moment so that's why I'm started to following you. Actually my dream is to make a lots of nice designs and printed on t shirts so I hope that's could be doable. So firstly I would like to understand anything about the affinity designer because is a bit different then Photoshop. Anyway thanks again.

Yeah dude. Ink and charcoal used to be a big part of my life. Then I got into airbrushing. If you scroll towards the very bottom of my Instagram you'll see some trucks, car parts and portraits I used to paint. Trying to teach myself some painting with acrylics and watercolour lately, just to spice things up a bit :)

Since you use the Pixel Persona a lot in your work, do you have a good idea of just how the final image is going to be used so as to avoid large changes in size? I mean you wouldn’t want to design a small sticker and then decide that it would look cool on a t-shirt.

That's a good questions. At the end of the day, it's still a pixel based image. I usually design everything on a large canvas (5000px squared), so I can always choose between printing on either. That said, anything larger (like a blanket) is where we start to see issues. Luckily, there's a tonne of really good AI upscaling tools out there now. I tried ehancing the size of one of my pieces to 8 times is original size using the "art" setting on Gigapixel, and the results were perfect! It may not be the road everyone wants to go down though, so yeah. Also worth noting that none of these pieces can be screenprinted. The main reason I do the linework the way I do it is so that if I ever WANT to screen print them, I can just remove the texutres and pic a new colour palet for each vector shape. That, and this is just a more non-destructive way of doing artwork.

Hey there, it's not included with Affinity Designer. You get it from Frankentoon Studio. Pretty sure it's in his free section. Honestly though, you could use just a basic brush for this. There's not much difference. Hope that helps :)

How old is your Apple Pencil? I have 1st gen for couple years and 2nd gen for a year and both last way more than 40 mins. 1st gen around 2 hours and 2nd gen around up to 5. hours before I need to charge them. *I don't let them just rest or stay at charging dock all the time when not in use as this would more or less kill battery faster.

About a year or so. It's a second gen. Basically if the apple pencil dies, the battery can never reach its full charge again. Do this a few times and you get a short lived experience. Found out a lot of people (myself included) learned this the hard way :/

Nah looks like you can't get inks pro anymore sadly. Honestly, it doesn't matter. Any brush that tapers will do the trick. I just used to use it because it was the first in a list of brushes that tapered. Experiment with different brushes and find what you like :)

I agree, it would be nice. My brother in law has one and wishes it all the time. I do wonder if the iPad is easier to develop for. I know apple has more music apps for this reason. Makes me wonder if that's why Affinity on Android doesn't exist. It's a real shame to be honest. Even the app "Concepts" is way different on the iPad vs a Samsung tablet. My brother in law bought it because he's an architect, but you can't even use the basic grid function on Samsung, so it's kind of useless to him.

You actually just needed to completely uninstall your wacom bamboo driver in order to be able to use intuos pro.

Tried that in the past with my laptop. Sadly it didn't fix anything. Years later I built my desktop PC and had given away the bamboo at this point, but still had the same issues with the tablet. The problem only seemed to resolve itself when they released the new versions of them. Works like a charm now (except for when using it wirelessly)

Ehhh, it's tricky to answer that. I think getting a cheap wacom tablet would be more affordable than an iPad, and would work with any app on your computer. That said, an iPad has its own set of apps, but remember that an apple pencil is going to cost a pretty penny too. You may need to decide what you want to do before you dive into these sorts of purchases.
