I usually go to the store like dollar general, dollar tree or Walmart and get my candles or I make my own candles I use a lot of tapered candles, Tea light candles and jar candles

Another magickal skill that can be used in conjunction with candle or mirror workings is known as 'The witches gaze' which involves staring into the candle flame or the scrying device with an unwavering and unblinking gaze that creates a potent trance state. This technique is easy to master and perfect. Simply stare at the point of your focus and every time you feel the urge to blink merely raise your eyelids and let them drop a little which will lubricate your eyeballs so they don't dry out and hurt. With practice you will soon be able to complete entire rituals without the need to blink. Give it a go! this skill is worth its weight in gold in spell workings.

A tip for making the channels in the candle: consecrate a BBQ skewer. It fits a bit better in these type of candles and takes to heat very well. Hope this helps prevent some candles breaking in your workings. Let me know if any of y'all try it please. 😁

First rule in melting down crayons to make homemade candles, be very careful with the stove's heat .. Best not do so in the house ... ten and 12yo come up with some dumb things to do. Don't try putting your 12yo in charge of their siblings, cause the younger siblings will just disregard their older siblings advice or orders of not to do something.

What he showed in the video is the everything you need to do. Do those steps while visualizing the intended end result of the spell. You then just let the candle burn itself out and release all of the energy you put into it. Make sure you keep it in a fire safe place and don't put it out yourself unless you have to leave your home to go to work or something. In which case, snuff it (never blow it out or you could symbolically blow away the spells power), and then as soon as you get back home, relight it and let continue working it's magick until it burns itself out. Then the spell is complete. If there's any wax remaining afterwards, bury it so that it can release the remaining energy into the earth. Candle magick is what I like to call the "set it and forget it" type. However do keep in mind basic fire safety.

Do you keep the candle lit after the ritual? Closing the ritual circle tends to dismiss ALL the energies, so if the candle is still lit and uncovered during the closing, how do I protect the candle’s charge? And do I keep it lit until it burns to the bottom (opposed to relighting it later)?

Christopher, if you are talking about a spell candle, yes you would actually charge the candle in the circle. The candle isn't going to lose its charge when you dismiss the circle. I would move the spell candle to a safe place or leave it on your altar, regardless if you can and it's safe from fire, let it burn itself out... Do not extinguish it at all. If you have to extinguish it, to say do to work, light it back up when you get home and as often as you can until it burns all the way down and out.
