Guys, I really recommend House of Colour (not sponsored). I did the colour analysis there with two different people and they came up with very similar results. You will find out which colour “season” palette that suits you best, and also if you are warm (gold - spring and autumn) or cold (silver - summer and winter). Made everything so much easier for me.

I second this. Had my colors done last year and it’s made shopping easier because I know what looks good on me and what doesn’t. I was typed as dark autumn

Two positives I want to point out: Firstly: I like that you always have an open-minded, liberal and lenient attitude, understanding your recommendations rather as inspirations and not as rigid dogmas, i.e. leaving room for "exceptions from the rule", because style is not to be understood as a mathematical science with strict absolute objective rules, but is rather an art which is open for subjective taste. Of course, there are things which one can categorize as "wrong" and a no-no, for example if a tie is tied extremely long or extremely short so it looks stupid. But besides such few things, there is a wide room for choices which cannot be categorized as "right/wrong", but are rather a matter of taste. Secondly: I liked that you gave a book recommendation. Please integrate book recommendations in your future videos depending on the topic of the videos. I have not seen other sartorial KZbinrs giving book recommendations, allowing to deepen one's knowledge. This is a deficit in the sartorial community on KZbin. Please offer book recommendations in your videos for people who want to deepen their knowledge because it is not well-known which books exist out there on sartorial topics.

Good video. One wish as the topic of the next video: Could you do an extensive video on dress shirts, please, especially white dress shirts for business. What collar types exist, what collar heights exist and what effect do they have, how tight/loose should a collar be, other shirt details to look out for etc. The sartorial KZbinrs have given little attention to the topic of dress shirts, unfortunately. There is a lot on suits, but shirts very little, especially regarding details of dress shirts like collar height (up until recently, when I bought my first custom shirt, I did not know that difference collar heights existed and I still wonder what the difference in effect is of a 3.5 cm collar height compared to a 4 cm collar height). So an in-depth look at the details of dress shirts for the business context would be very helpful.

Great idea- I’m all for it! Just won‘t be the next video, as this is a very nichy topic. But definitely one that needs to be covered 👍🏻
@RajeshGupta-hs1nx5 ай бұрын
@@TheStyleConsultant Thank you, sir, looking forward to it! Just make sure to really get into the details. For example, I have not seen any sartorial KZbinr talk about details like "collar heights" in their shirt videos, but they usually rather just give information on a superficial level. Thanks!

I have a very light, but warm skin tone. I usually pick my shirt based on whether it makes my (blue) eyes pop, and then pick a suit or jacket that seems to make the shirt pop. Great video, love geeking out on this. A lot of men’s sartorial content is about blending in and matching the occasion. That’s great, but I’m glad you’re also focusing on personal tastes and appearance.

Ok, now we need a full video with the dog. About the dog! Maybe a video of how to care for your clothes when having pets?
@TheStyleConsultant5 ай бұрын
Haha this little guy is worth a channel all for himself 😄 my wife got him with 8 weeks and now he‘s 14 years old and still super active. Definitely a topic to talk about maintaining clean clothing with a dog/pet! In his case though, as he‘s a mix of Pudel & Tibet Terrier, he‘s anti allergic and doesn’t loose any hair :-)

How can you identify colours? My existing wardrobe isn't bad, but its hard to know which hue certain clothes purely visually. For instant, I have this greenish chinos, but I noticed in full daylight it changes to a blue tone. I would like to buy more, but I don't know what the colour is called.
@philparisi91755 ай бұрын
Talk about contrast because of a tan, or because of greying hair (almost white in places).

I only made it 30 seconds into your video before I closed it. The zooming in and out and the colour changes are tricks used for viewers with that amount of attention span. I am not one of those individuals, and I believe your target audience is not as well. If you have the chance to re-edit this video, I'm sure it would be a great success with a broader viewing audience.

Come on man… I appreciate the feedback but that’s a little harsh. We’re working on improving and definitely toning down on the zoom ins next time, but I think the value given here should still speak for itself. Anyway - valuable feedback 👍
