Porsche gave us the keys to a 2012 Cayman R and let us loose on their Silverstone test track with one aim: could we successfully drift the Cayman? Who's the better drifter - Alex or Adnan?

LOL the instructor is so epic "and now it's totally gone wrong" without changing his expression at all what a badass.

You guys saying the instructor was talking too much can shut the fuck up. I've had the pleasure of driving some high end exotics on a track and the instructors there make this one seem mute. "Brake, brake, brake, turn in, hit the apex, bla, bla, bla, don't shift until I tell you, shift now, accelerate, downshift, downshift bla bla bla" This guy is doing his job.

Cheers Team XCar - I'm sure you've got a lot of drifty car action to show us all, can't wait!

MX-5 is a great "learn how to drift" car. As I (Adnan) found out with my turn in the Cayman R, you need significantly better tekkers to drift that machine on a skid pad!

Thanks Krste! Glad you enjoyed the vid :)

Easy to see why Adnan disappeared off the videos when you see him and Alex presenting side by side.

Thanks returnoftheyak ;) One of our fellow #TeamCT lads, Darren, is off on his Mongol Rally adventure this summer, so I'm sure he'd like to see your doc for some ballsy inspiration! Keep in touch, and ping us when your video is up.

The PSM really is impressive, as shown by what happens when it's turned off. I really want to get down there for a day in mine!

This video is a bit derailed from the general topic. It seems to be a testimonial rather than a set of instructions of drift techniques for a rr-chassis or mid-engine vehicle. KT, from japan who created the Drift Bible DVD, shows the techniques in details with similar chassis setups like the Toyota mr-2 and nsx. This is just a quick feedback because the video doesn't seem to be taken seriously. I'm just saying.....

yeah, i agree. it must not be easy to drift these rear engined porches

Great video guys, when you have the time check out our channel. We drove from the UK to Mongolia in a car more suited for a trip to the supermarket! We have been focusing on editing the feature doc over the last year but are now near completion and will be releasing a youtube video in the next month to kick start our channel, to be followed by regular updates and collaborations. It would be great if we could build a relationship together in the coming months!

What a ripoff of a video. The title is drifting a Porsche but all they did is spin out. They have absolutely no experience and don't know how to drift. I was robbed of my time.

Lol ever heard of snap over steer?! A Porsche is not the car you want to try and drift because of the rear engine configuration.
@danielgera13617 жыл бұрын
Sorry Skys lol the funny thing is that a cayman is mid engined
@doorjam87937 жыл бұрын
Daniel Gera rear engine, mid engine either way what I mean is that you don't have that front engine weight distribution that is needed to drift without spinning out all the time... if you have a mid/ front engine confit the weight of the engine will spin you around when you get the car side ways... not saying it's impossible to drift just way more difficult
@johns54936 жыл бұрын
Mid engine oops!
