China never ceases to amaze me, previous dynasties try and try again to destroy the memory and culture of the last. But they still survive. And the fact some of them are getting their renaissance.

Japan at one point considered itself a successor to Tang/Song dynasty, the same way Ottomans and Russians considered themselves successors to Rome/Byzantium.

Yea... The Europeans didn't bother replicating this, the most they got was something the merchants can crush, place in tea bags, with nice china/pots to brew their tea in.

I wish I had a Chinese wife . I would ask her to wear hanfu for me . That could be heaven on earth for me . (I'm not Chinese . Li is my nickname :) )
