Hi you should put your pins the other way round ,so the rope goes around the pin not though the loop .you also put another pin in though the loop at 45 degrees.This Should do the trick

Hi both, I realise this episode is sometime ago. I would like to say my wife and I have not long taken retirement . Now we have bought a small 30ft narrowboat just for weekend and odd day cruising. As we are new to boating I would like to thank you for showing us both how to use the chain and rope in when we venture out onto the canal circuit. Plus there are similarities to us when checked and starting up. Many thanks happy cruising to you both.

Brilliant , we want out on a widbeam on the leeds liverpool with a couple first time steering and doing locks i took to it so fast Mark who's boat it was said " am not joking here mate but you're a natural, really confident and could handle her on some hairy corners and under bridge's" Bring on our boat ❤️

How about clambering….. up the steps onto the roof or along the gunwales and up the locks. Are the built in steps worth it? Good vid I particularly enjoyed the tying off at the bow, very scenic 😂😂😂😂.

The built in steps do make it a lot easier to get on to the roof quickly, lol to the tying off the bow, I did comment to Richard about my full butt shot 😂😂😂

Thank you, do you have an anchor and if so how heavy and where do you store it? Great vlog! We are soon moving our widebeam from Packet Boat Marina in Cowley to Boveney Lock oyr new mooring. Only driven the boat once so a bit nervous. Any tips?
