I'm extremely new to racing and f1 so I appreciate somebody putting out a detailed and slowed down video. Need this, thanks

As a controller player who doesn't have the funds and desk space to buy a wheel and pedals, I found a shortcut. Install Monect on your phone and PC, then buy a smartphone bracket for your controller. Once you connect your smartphone to your PC via Monect, attach it to the controller bracket and use the Forza layout that comes pre-installed. Turn on the steering wheel on the app and jump into the game. Now you can use the physical buttons on your controller and treat your controller like a steering wheel because Monect is detecting your phone's motion. Plus points if your controller has programmable back buttons, which you can treat like makeshift paddle shifters.

That Bahrain gp corner is really tough to get a perfect braking and turning.

I have a question. Does your force feedback also disappear when you change track on TT or when you go to the race? It’s so annoying

How can you apply so less pressure on the brakes on a controller? every time I press the brake it goes almost to full :(
@dubbi2420 Жыл бұрын
You just have to modulate the brakes
@Marcin_pl Жыл бұрын
@@dubbi2420hi, how one does that? :) Not sure I understand what modulate means in this case.

How long would you say it would take to fully learn no ABS and come back to the speed I had before with ABS on?

It's different for everyone. For me it took about a month to be fully confortable
@cassiofreire6663 Жыл бұрын
I agree it's different for everyone. What I did was: I turned it off, tried for like 20 mins, felt like it was impossible and dropped it. After a few days I'd turn it off again and try some more. Felt like it was a little less impossible and tried for like 25 mins bc it was a little less frustrating. Kept doing it progressively for like a month (like my man said) and felt much better. And bro... you take your driving to another level. It's crazy how much more of a feel for the car you have. Much more fun and rewarding. I know at first shots it feels terrible, but you get used to it. In general, the things that make you lose lap time are the things you do too much. Brake too much or too heavy. Turn too much. Accelerate too much. And so on... hope I might help. (I'm not the best player but I play with AI 85 and no assists, as a reference). (And I don't know if you use the racing line, but that's a sin. Everyone should have it turned off!)

Do you use the adaptive triggers? I have them on strong, it helps me with traction a lot but I can't seem to trail brake. I've wanted to get rid of ABS for a long time now since it's the only assist I have on except racing line for some tracks that I'm not familiar with.
@dubbi2420 Жыл бұрын
I don't use adaptive triggers, in fact I use a PS4 controller.. For braking you need consistent triggers, so I wouldn't recommend using it. It's better to use ffb through the controller itself to judge the limit

@@dubbi2420 After one month of practice, I can finally drive rather consistently without ABS! Thank you so much

Do u have to learn it on one track or do u have to do it on every track ?
@kelts8954 ай бұрын
idk if you figured it out in the 8 months since you posted this but its best to do it on a track with the most variety of different and challenging and moderate corners as each corner you will have to approach differently so its best to know how to deal with each corner such as hairpin corners. obviously its not easy since i feel like no ABS is probably one of the hardest mechanics to learn especially if you play with assists as with any mechanic as you need to unlearn going from 0 to 100 back to 0 instantly and how to manage and approach it but people can do it and you can too
