I'd love to see a video on how to take a TT set up and making it a race set up. A lot of people take the top TT timed set ups into the race but I don't think that's always optimal so it'd be good to know how to adapt one into the other.

SimRacingSetups does race specific setups. Not necessarily how to convert from TT to race but it’s what I use!
@DannicusMaximus Жыл бұрын
@@yledbetter10rob42I'm using that setup also. T1 at bahrain trying to improve and still spinning at what seems to be half the throttle shown here. Frustrating 😂

Really you just need to adjust the things that effect tyre wear
@youknoweverything764311 ай бұрын
Really just adjust things to make the tires wear less and add full tank of fuel instead running bare minimum for qualifying or tt but qualify or tt setups are not optimal in racing cause drafting isn't the same or as good with a tt setup and suspension tire wear ect

For my fellow logitech players a good tip to swap the throttle spring with the clutch if you find the throttle too easy to press fully it helped me a ton to have smooth throttle control 👍

I have a thing that’s somewhat related but not the same. I have the pedals for 2months now and that brake pedal man… after about 30min racing seriously it hurts if I start walking lol. Knee is locked feels like 😂. You don’t find the brake to stiff? I adjusted the saturation of the brakes now and that works somewhat better
@zsoltimatyas4682 Жыл бұрын
@@love_everything_aviation_r2834 haha i made my brake pedal even stiffer than the original that comes in the g29 because i play mostly open wheel cars that dont have abs so it my pedal need to be as hard as it gets to not lock up, i cant even fully depress it unless if i stab it but its a game changer for me I remeber the first few hours was killing me but after some time i got used to it. After few hours of f1my knee feels like its gonna fall off but i play on my desk so thats what i have to live with its fun for me
@love_everything_aviation_r2834 Жыл бұрын
@@zsoltimatyas4682hahah yeah fk hell man 😂. I’ve seen some people just map the brakes to the clutch pedal (in F1 that is) but that’s then the complete opposite lol, wat to sensitive. Was playing a little around the curves tho and it got better. There might be some third party softwares I can find on the internet to set curves. Because the in-game doesn’t show the graph when changing the parameters like saturation linearity ect… eventhough I know what they mean and do…… still prefer to see how much im changing and how the line of the curves looks
@danex0707 ай бұрын
Yep, I also bought non linear spring for my brakes from Aliexpress and removed the rubber from it, it feels much better, also I switched my clutch spring into the throttle as you mentioned, much more feedback from the throttle.

Thanks for your all effort to tell us every significant point. This definitely makes life easier for especially people who want to drive without TC like me👍Would you please prepare a video about how to make setups by detailing every single option? (For example, what happens if we increase/decrease values on the Suspension Screen) Me and many people, I'm sure, will be very appreciated if you do this. Thanks a lot...
@virtualf1_2022 Жыл бұрын
Maybe a little detail to help with the TC OFF technique is the throttle pedal settings (the wheel/pedals drivers and the in-game setup). Because of the difficulty to control the car in F1 22 (compared to the other versions), I felt the need to adjust and to set my throttle pedal to a very low sensitivity in the drivers settings under Windows, and 100% Throttle Linearity in-game (to have an initial smooth effect and a smooth increase of speed when progressively pushing the pedal to the "floor") . This may help having that less snappy/unpredictable behavior of the car when accelerating after the apex into the straight line. And this also gives a better control at race start, where you need to maintain a certain RPM to be in the right "window". The linearity settings may be tested in the Control Settings menu - input/buttons test page. (I'm sorry if this detail is in this video and I've missed it!)

I'm relativly new to F1. I have abt 140hrs in both F1 2021 and F1 2022 and currently abt like 40hrs in F1 2023. I'm on controller and currently switching to no TC. And I gotta say it is pretty easy in F1 23 compared to the other 2. Thank you for the guide :)

traction control off is so easy in this game I've needed 2 hours to be consistently faster than before
@davefellows Жыл бұрын
One of the common things I see is people trying to get on the throttle too early before the car has rotated enough through the corner so you end up needing too much steering angle exiting the corner while trying to progress to full throttle resulting in running too wide and it taking longer before you can reach full throttle (plus higher risk of oversteer).

I have switched to TC off on my Xbox controller in my tyre wear modded 2020 game (lesser grip and more wear compared to vanilla game) and safe to say the driving got a little harder and a lot easier at the same time. I am prone to sudden spinouts but I definitely use the extra oversteer into corners. I also went to manual clutch shifting and suddenly hard AI is easy to beat now. Lots of free pace, lots of it...

i really wanna drive with no assists but jesus its so fkn difficult. I have a belt fed and wheel and its difficult to have a COMPLETELY smooth steering motion which makes smooth on throttle kinda hit or miss. How many hours do you think it takes to learn how to drive with no assists?

If yall want the most realistic f1 or indy car sim get on iracing no traction control or assists available itd all on you and man its a blast ovals with indy cars isnt to hard and easier then a road course with indy or f1. But also racing dirt sprint cara wing and non wing on iracing will help you learn to drive with out traction control and how to use throttle and breaks to avoid wheel spin and spinning out

Im trying alot this year to drive without traction and I really want too, but I have huge problems on some tracks, specially in the low speed corners, im like 1 second behind me full traction times in time trial, on some tracks like saudi im closer, while on some like bahrain around 1 second or more... and I feel if I push a bit more to get a bit faster time i spin, its frustrating to be so slow compared to full traction.

same man. high speed stuff I feel really good on this game, its the low speed I struggle with SO bad. I don't know how people are so good at traction zones because I ALWAYS spin or have to be so careful on throttle coming out of 90 degree turns.

@carlosbyrne-xg7sh Жыл бұрын
I think you would be better teaching how to do it in race, i have recently made the switch to no traction control and I am great in time trials, but when I come to a race (on controller) I am back to sliding all over the place and finishing in last place consistently
@oliveweary Жыл бұрын
Same for me.. No assists on f1 23 (excpet abs) on controller. Time trial have gotten 1 second faster but in race as soon as tires are above 12% i'm just sliding and slow throttle build only makes me lose time to AI.

A short way to do it is turn it off and just go to a track with a big brake zone such as Monza and break earlier than normal and keep practicing until you don't lock up and when you did break earlier and repeat the process and a quick tip is the more you go down the gears keep lowering the break pressure as you slow down

Weiß auch nicht ob mein Lenkrad ein gutes oder eher schlechtes ist und ob halt die Einstellung blöd eingestellt sind. Wenn mir jemand helfen könnte Wäre ich ihm sehr dankbar :)
