@@MGB-di9gd yea you have to pull front CV’s, personally I’m replacing them, control arms tie rod ends, basically anything that I’m pulling off is getting new, might as well

I ordered one from schwaben and the hook broke on me. Gotta wrap the chain around the two hooks than the one hook holding the tow hook like that.

Not the case... I did this on jackstands in the snow on an AWD e91 (half shafts run through oil pan, diff mounts to the side of the pan). And I did the entire project in 2 days.

Holy crap... don’t use regular SAE sockets on eTorx bolts... you are asking for a disaster. Invest $12 in a set of eTorx sockets- they are cheap. Otherwise impressive work!

Thanks guys I don't own a BMW, but I do own a 2017 Genesis G90 5.0 HTrac Ultimate, I just brought a lower Oil Pan and Gasket. The dealership informed me, they had to lower the subframe to get to the lower oil pan so they could replace it, they also informed me it was a six hour job, I had to get it done. The service cost was reasonable, because I just ordered all the parts. This is definitely something you have to have a garage and lift to do and a extra set of hands. It's very important for any vehicle, if you don't your car can leak more oil in the long run, in my situation and jeopardize your engine especially if you are not watching the oil levels.
