Hi everyone, this is how I dutch braid my own hair. It is really simple and easy once you learn how to do it, and great for when your hair is dirty and you don't have time to wash it. I also love taking the braids out after a couple of days and having this lovely wave in my hair. It looks like from the hair near the part, you add from the top of your head. From the side near your ear, you add from the front :)

1) Move outside piece (closer to your ear) to center, 2) Move inner piece (closer to middle of head) to center, 3) Pick up a slat/small rectangle of hair behind the outside piece, move to center. 4) Pick up a small slat/possibly triangle shaped section, move with inner piece to center. 5) Pull tight and examine. Do the first few steps over and over again until you get them right

Tip for beginners- don't focus on trying to make it look nice, just start off trying to get the right hold on your hair and technique and take bigger chunks of hair. The first time It will look bad, but once your fingers get used to it then it will become easier, this is how I learnt and it worked for me. x
