How to Dye a Double Bloom T-shirt

Amazing! I haven't tried yet DOI-Dye Over Ice and the way you're doing it like placing some piece of cloth to cover your piece... that's new to me... I'm just wondering why do you prefer to use safety pins instead of washable markers?

Hi Arnold, I'd love to hear more about your experience with washable markers. Do you let the shirt dry after the soda ash soak, and then use the marker? So that it doesn't wash out when the fabric is soaked in the soda ash solution? Nancy

Hi apologies if to be a pest but do you mind if I ask if there is any particular reason why you didn't role them like the other one you did or are you just winging it. Also I have been asked fore a double sided t shirt similar to this so I will hopefully be able to do it using my liquid dyes thank you for the inspiration 😊

Hi Andrew! Yes! Good catch. The kaleidoscope and bloom folds do start out exactly the same. Roll the triangle up, and you get a kaleidoscope. Leave it straight and narrow, and it creates a bloom!

If you rinse them with soda ash, and leave the shirt damp; it's easier to fold and keep sharper edges, also takes your color better for brighter results.
