I'm in Africa (Botswana, specifically) and have always wanted to venture into selling DIYs and décor to the market over here. My question is more to do with the "rules" I should follow, as in; as a beginner of DIYs, am I allowed to follow along with your tutorial and sell that product? or is that considered copyright?

You’re welcome! Oh wow you’re in Botswana. I have been to Johannesburg. Not sure how far that is from you. It was so beautiful there. Nice to virtually meet you. That’s a great idea to sell DIYs especially dupes that are in demand that may not be available in your area. It is not a copyright to make items you’ve learned from tutorials. You should be fine. It’s a copyright issue if you use the actual photos or videos that someone else created for yourself without getting permission from them. If you do plan to use an idea from another creator and make a video, it’s best practice to give credit to them in the video. I hope this helps!

Thank you so much for thia video, i love to crochet but i haven't been doing it that much but i do want to sell them make some money for myself and to help my family so that i can have my own remote small business, my niche is that i want to make creepy cute dolls, Ive seen a lot of artist make halloween themed or creepy cute art all year round and I think thats awesome and I want to do that too but I also want my dolls to be for kids too like for a baby shower or their birthdays and stuff if it were a commission. If i wanted to make creepy cute dolls, is it okay to make them or something different for kids like making a baby blanket or something ?

You’re welcome! I like the idea of making different themed dolls. That way you can make a creepy themed one, holiday themed one, baby themed one, etc. You could offer add on items for the baby dolls like different crocheted outfits, hats and purses. I hope this helps.

My issue is I DIY and make ALL types of things. If I see an item, project, or idea i like i just make it. I’m not someone that makes JUST wreaths, or furniture, or paintings. I like to make ALL of them (and more). I have so many “one of a kind” things I’d love to get rid of, but I can’t just toss em. Ya know? There is SO much time and $ in them! Is selling my stuff still a “doable” idea? ANY ideas, (pleasant) comments, or suggestions from ALL y’all Makers and DIYers would be greatly appreciated and welcomed.
