You should put the filter in a fairly durable plastic bag before you spray it. Then after you are done cleaning it you can speed up the drying process by pinching off the open end of the bag and breathing in out of it for about twenty minutes.

this was a dry type so we did not re-oil, however some filters do require re-oiling, but i have heard of many people ruining their mass air flow sensors from the oil being sucked off the filter... and the oil is only used to catch the really same particales of dirt, if you dont oil a filter that needs to be oil , it will still function

So how exactly is pushing dirt deeper into the filter cleaning it? Should have used a milder cleaning product and a hose.

Prefer to clean 75% from inside to outside and finish it from outside.

Break cleaner is extremely flammable!! Hot air from a motor with 200 degrees spewing every where would probably cause it to smoke..... Just saying.....

this is not a good idea man it's not good for the fabric that heavy chemical I was going to say maybe you some Dawn soap won't harm the filter and the soap suds will help push all the dirt out and it's a Degreaser as well so we'll take off all the old oil I wouldn't recommend using any brake cleaner or throttle body cleaner on your filters will eat the material
